Located in a post-war building of 1948, the Sesame Bookstore, also known as Librairie bookstore (because Mr. Fiévez for more than 30 years) is above all a bouquinerie, a pre-owned bookstore (which says an opportunity does not necessarily mean old) and the nine, which offers a series of series for a reduced price. And here, the great speciality of the house is not to have it! From police to comics, from novels to biographies through youth literature… there are for all tastes. And with nearly 50.000 books in store, the papivores will no longer know where to give your head! Finally, lovers and collectors of figurines will be filled as the Sésame Librairie offers a wide selection of numbered collections (Leblon Delienne, Aroutcheff, Pixi…) with the possibility of ordering.

MARCHÉ DU LIVRE

Bookshop

Every day, as soon as the sun comes out, they are there, the booksellers. Since June, they have returned to their historic location on Place Sainte-Anne after 8 years on Place Hoche for the construction of the metro. They contribute fully to the dynamism of the district. We like to have a look at them during our walks, to stop and inspect the stalls and the abundance of books that occupy them. Great classics, new discoveries, paperbacks or large formats, old books, sometimes magazines and comics, the bookshops are constantly changing, the collections are renewed and each visit brings its share of surprises. What could be better than to go to the Thabor, a few steps away, to start reading a few chapters..

SAPRISTI

Bookshop

Baptiste had a great idea: to open a café-library in the Recouvrance district, a place that would be built on the basis of solidarity and ecological principles. This will be the Sapristi project! The setting of this second-hand bookshop is warm, with volunteers receiving customers, giving advice and discussing books, comics and other CDs. A few workshops are offered and no doubt Baptiste and his volunteers will come up with new ideas in the coming months. Don't miss this little place before visiting Recouvrance!
