M'ENFIN ? !

Comic book store
4.9/5
25 reviews
Closed - Open to 10h00

It is always with a great pleasure that we stroll in the middle of the bins and the shelves of this bookshop which constitutes the biggest collection of comics in Brittany. The parquet floor creaks under each of our steps and the abundance of works which surrounds us gives dizziness. To orientate us, the store has just set up a new signposting. We can easily spot the new releases, the comics, the SF section, the classics, the children's comics, the merchandising, but there is nothing better than the advice of the booksellers to transport you into exciting stories and to give you their favorites. Follow the news on the networks to note the dates of the meetings and dedications.

LA NEF DES FOUS

Comic book store

Located a little way from the city's busiest shopping streets, La Nef des Fous has been welcoming comic book addicts to its spacious, sober store since 2017. Behind this name lies the title of a Turf comic strip that Corentin, the bookshop's manager, is particularly fond of. After working for several years in Grenoble, then at the Critic bookshop, he decided to take up the adventure himself. In addition to comics, he also sells a wide range of comic books and manga. It's a great place to chat with the bookseller about new releases and personal favorites. Signings are also regularly organized, and announced on social networks!

LIVRERIE DES JACOBINS

Comic book store
Closed - Open to 10h00

The term Book-Chope that he chose on Instagram to designate his business suits him so well that we can't resist the idea of using the formula here. A beer and comic book lover, Gregory decided to reconcile the two by creating this charming store located a stone's throw from Place Sainte-Anne. Two universes not so far apart if we consider that more and more designers collaborate with breweries to produce their labels. Combining taste and graphic aspect to select the bottles put on sale, he also knows how to suggest readings that will ideally accompany the tasting of them. Authors' dedications and meetings with brewers are frequent events. Finally, we advise you to look up to admire the ceiling, a nod to the nearby Jacobins convent: a beautiful stained glass window made of comic book icons! Will you be able to recognize them all?

CRITIC

Comic book store

Since 2000, Critic is a bookstore specialized in comics, with a small literature area focused on SF, fantasy and detective stories, not exhaustive, but run by a staff that knows its score. Since 2009, Critic has also become a publisher of novels in the three above-mentioned genres and has even recently launched into comics in collaboration with Les Humanoïdes Associés. 2022 is a special year since it marks the arrival of a new establishment... just a step away from the one we already know. Dedicated mainly to manga, these new premises come at the right time to fill a lack of space that was becoming obvious and to develop an ever more abundant offer.
