Night market of the Old Quarter. It is held from Friday to Sunday, from 6 pm to 11 pm in Hàng Dao street, which is then closed to traffic. Quite disappointing as for the goods offered. A lot of junk goods (of course, prices are very affordable) and a teeming crowd conducive to the activity of pickpockets. The market is in full swing between 8 and 10 pm. A bath of crowd before or after the dinner in one of the lanes of the Old Quarter become pedestrian. One regains with relief the banks of the lake Hoàn Kiêm - relatively - calmer.

Every night, trucks loaded with flowers from Dà Lat, the Mekong delta, the centre, but also fruit and vegetables are brought in, which will then be redistributed in other markets in Ho Chi Minh City or its suburbs. Orchids from Dà Lat, Chrysanthemums of Longevity, roses from Hanoi... This is the miracle of a garden that blooms again every day, bringing out the characteristics of a multitude of terroirs: windy and sunny lilies from the centre, orchids, fresh roses, etc.

Located in the ^1st district, not far from the Phuong Son Tu pagoda (Pham Ngu Lao district), the Dan Sinh market offers mainly American military surplus. Rangers, uniforms, hardware, watches, lighters? Here, there is something for everyone. Nevertheless, war souvenirs are most often of very recent manufacture. Rusty bayonets, half-broken helmets... This once popular market is now being abandoned in favour of large modern shopping centres. The place is made for the most passionate.
