After several years of closure, the Château Morange cultural center has reopened its doors. With a strong focus on the visual arts, it offers a program of cinema, photography and video art. And it doesn't stop there, as you can enjoy concerts by artists on the patio or in the auditorium. The château, built in 1853 by Jean-Baptiste Prosper Morange, has undergone a complete restoration. This talented artist, of international renown, opens the doors of his studio for an interesting visit. To pass the door is to enter a monochrome universe strewn with mysterious forests, bewitching women's bodies and sailboats inviting to travel. With the technique of etching on copper, which he introduced to Reunion Island, this self-taught artist reveals an inspiring world. Passionate about history and nature, Philippe Turpin has created artist's books, printed in limited editions, such as Les Voiles des Mascareignes.

A place for creation, expression and exchange, La Fabrik highlights transversality, popular culture and interactivity with the inhabitants of a neighbourhood undergoing rapid change. Theatre, music, urban dance, circus: the artists in residence come from all disciplines and regularly invite the public to attend "worksites", open rehearsals, meetings and renderings of residencies. Since 2018, the Fabrik has been managed by the National Drama Centre of the Indian Ocean, thus pooling their resources and missions.

The Pat' Jaune company, a troupe of actors and musicians famous for its "Yab" music (de petits Blancs des Hauts), whose playful tunes describe the daily life of the Hauts de la Réunion with tenderness and humor, welcomes its audience to an astonishing space. The concept? To organize evenings of exchanges, shows and music, during which people sit down in a magnificent, luminous, wooded room, before being invited to sit on bleachers, in an intimate, warm room, to attend a concert like no other.

A beautiful private contemporary art gallery of 200 ^m2 with its patio which exposes mainly artists from Reunion Island or continental Europe. Here, eclecticism is the order of the day; styles vary, succeed one another, clash from exhibition to exhibition and from season to season. A dynamic address to discover in the heart of Saint-Denis. A little crush for the exhibited artists coming from street art like Jérôme Mesnager or very pop like Nimbus. Surprise: the gallery is also open to artists or associations of artists wishing to present their works.

The wasteland is a former post office sorting centre that served the towns of Le Port and La Possession. The city decided to set up artists' residences there as of 2016; on the strength of this success, it is renewing this experience in 2019 around creation, education and mediation. This large hangar thus houses artists' studios, exhibitions and numerous events in the courtyard. Street art artists have the place of honour.
