KELONIA - THE SEA TURTLE OBSERVATORY

Aquarium
4.3/5
44 reviews

Kélonia is at the same time a research centre, an observatory, a care centre and an educational centre. Built partly in the open air, this site offers a playful and interesting visit in the mysterious and vulnerable world of turtles. Accessible to the whole family, we strongly recommend the guided tours which are given by the care staff at 10 am, 11.30 am, 2 pm, 3.15 pm and 4.30 pm. You will find in the shop the latest works of the craftsmen working the tortoiseshell.

Open - from 10h00 to 17h30

The aim of this park, which will open in June 2021 and cover 4 hectares, is to care for the animals collected, but also to help the public discover these little-known species by raising awareness of their preservation, with, for example, fun workshops for children on Wednesday mornings. Parakeets, parrots, iguanas, turtles, farm animals, ostriches and birds of prey can be seen there. The discovery is based on an educational tour and animations and shows twice a day, during which you can get closer to the animals.
