This house built in 1744 by Marie-Agnès Lepage, daughter of Lord Pierre Lepage of Rimouski, and her husband Basile Côté is the oldest house in eastern Quebec. The timbers give it a unique character, since this type of architecture, formerly commonly used, has become very rare because of Quebec's climatic conditions. Visitors will discover antique furniture (eighteenth and nineteenth centuries) and an exhibition of archeology and architecture.

She was the residence of Thomas Chandler Haliburton (1796-1865), a Canadian politician, lawyer, judge, historian and successful author (creator of Sam Tide's character). Left to the end of the 1930 s, it was recovered by the provincial government, which made it a museum and historic place. Special activities are organized during the season, such as the celebration of Canada Day days, and the murder and mystery evening.
