Well-known café in this beautiful part of the country, occupying the premises of a beautiful period house, it is one of our best addresses in Val-David to break the fast food at a good price or to satisfy a sweet and greedy desire. In winter, it's a cozy place to come and enjoy a spicy chai, while in summer, its pretty terrace invites you to sit back and relax. The team cooks according to the seasons, with organic and local products, proposing a list of simple but very tasty dishes. Bonus: everything is home-made!

With a name like that, there is no doubt about the house specialty. A traditional Polish dish, pierogi resembles our ravioli and is boldly reinvented here. Indeed, it is covered with Buffalo chicken and cheddar cheese, beef brisket and smoked BBQ sauce, pulled pork with bacon and chorizo, vegetables for the herbivores... You can also replace the pierogi with a poutine or mac & cheese base. There are also some snacks and sweets. Several other locations in the Greater Toronto Area, as well as in Edmonton and Montreal.

It's one of the favorite addresses in Chinatown. The perfect place to enjoy the famous noodle and beef soup, a classic from Lan Zhou, a city in north-central China. A delicious broth prepared with love and enriched with beef blood, daikon slices, thinly sliced beef cooked in the broth and an egg marinated in curry, that's what you'll find in your bowl. Of course, there are other options on the menu, but it is for this soup that the crowd abounds. De-liieux!

Everyone's been talking about Chez Mag for a few years now, and with good reason. Its lobster poutine alone is a crowd-pleaser. We're way too fond of this new kind of diner in the Rosemont-La-Petite-Patrie neighborhood. The retro decor of this little gourmet space already makes us smile, but it's the comfort food menu that has us completely hooked. We've tried almost everything over the months, from the regular dishes to the current inspirations: chicken curry club sandwich, shrimp guédille (the most generous ever), fried chicken burger, poutine, meatloaf and the list goes on. Natural wines and craft beers top it all off.

In a resolutely vacation spirit, it prepares on-the-go dishes such as breaded shrimp and calamari, smoked trout and salmon gravlax sandwiches, the famous shrimp or lobster guédille, and side dishes like salmon chowder. Bonus: there are a few picnic tables on site, but our best bet is to head down to the beach to enjoy your meal.

A deluxe snack bar that started out in Saint-Roch before opening a branch in the charming village of Kamouraska, Grand'Ourse prepares succulent dishes using local produce. The fries are delicious, accompanied by one of their many homemade mayonnaises. The menu also includes gourmet burgers, exquisite guédilles (shrimp, lobster, spicy duck, etc.), fish & chips and poutine for every taste. Top it all off with one of the gourmet desserts. Unmissable and unbeatable!
