Greyhound allows you to travel throughout most of Australia on modern, well-equipped coaches, including wifi. The company doesn't serve southern Western Australia, most of Victoria or inland New South Wales, but other than that, you can go almost anywhere! Frequent travelers can buy one of their passes, which allow unlimited travel on their gigantic network (the National Whimit pass), all along the East Coast, or the Commuter Pass for repeat travelers.

SeaLink North Queensland is a popular ferry company linking Townsville to Magnetic Island. Ferries depart from the Breakwater terminal on Sir Leslie Thiess Drive in Townsville and travel to Nelly Bay Harbour on Magnetic Island. SeaLink offers the fastest boats, but they are reserved for passengers only. The return fare from Townsville to Magnetic Island costs $32 with SeaLink. It is accessible by bus (lines 200, 201, 206, stop: ferry terminal) and has free parking nearby.

The easiest way to transport the airport to Melbourne. Departure every 10 minutes during the day. A service called Free Hotel Transfer Service allows the free transfer of travelers between Southern Cross station and selected hotels.

Hobart International Airport is located in Cambridge, 17 kilometers northeast of Hobart. It is the largest airport in Tasmania and serves Melbourne and Sydney, among others. It is currently served mainly by Qantas, Virgin Australia, Jetstar, Link Ariways, Sharp Airlines and Air New Zeland. The airport can be reached by public transport via the Sky bus line (30 minutes).

To get around the city, Brisbane has an excellent public transport network, with buses, trains, CityCats and CityFerry ferries available regularly throughout the day and night. Visitors can use the Go Card to travel easily throughout the city. Brisbane also offers numerous cycle paths and electric bikes for hire.

The fastest connection between Melbourne city center and Melbourne airport is with the SkyBus shuttle bus (every 10-15 min, journey time 30-35 min, price one-way AU$ 23.90, round trip AU$ 40).
By car, to leave/access Melbourne airport via Tullamarine Freeway, you need a CityLink pass (the route is tolled). However, you can avoid these charges by taking the Western Ring Road (M80).
