A self-taught painter who arrived in Martinique in 1986, Cathy Melin mixes emotion and reality on color-dominated canvases. She is moved by lush nature and troubled by the evolution of her world. Mixed techniques, dynamism of color and life, her sensitive works are to be discovered in her studio, in the shelter of the Moulin Val D'Or. Her style is tropical painting. Even though Cathy will willingly admit that everything inspires her! Scenes of life, carnival, flowers, nature in colors… Cathy draws her inspiration from her island.
