Created in 2003, Tukus is an association that promotes canoeing on the banks of the Oyapock. It regularly organizes introductory and advanced whitewater kayaking courses for adults and children aged 10 and over, in groups or on their own, in the company of a guide as passionate about canoeing as he is about the flora and fauna that inhabit the banks and waters of the Oyapock River. Recently renovated, the facility now boasts a 50-meter Olympic-size pool divided into ten lanes, a 400 m² training and warm-up pool, a sauna, a weight room and a 500-seat grandstand. Here you'll find a wide choice of quality boats and equipment for a safe and successful river trip. To rent, you'll need: an identity card, a credit card deposit, a coastal or inland license and payment of the service charge at the time of booking. All the equipment you need for your day's adventure is also available for hire: generators, towing buoys, coolers.... Boats can be delivered to your site if you don't have a tow hook - this is an additional service.

Although the primary vocation of Camp Maripas' gigantic carbet is to host private parties (reception meals - for up to 120 guests - can be arranged here, from €45 per person), its location makes it a prime spot for relaxation. At the water's edge, you can choose to rent a canoe (by the day or half-day), put down your hammock to perfect the art of napping, or take a dip before cooling off at the bar. Although the Vent d'Ouest sailing school works mainly with extracurricular groups, it also offers private and group lessons (for special events, for works councils for example) to children and adults alike, whatever their level, whether beginner or advanced. All outings and courses are supervised by a state-qualified instructor, and the structure is certified by the French Federation, affiliated to the DDJS.

Club Nautique de la Pirogue is the oldest sailing club in French Guiana. Located on the Pointe Mahury stretch of water, it's the perfect place for an introduction to sport sailing. Learning and baptisms take place on Optimist, Laser and dinghies (for young and old), but it is also possible to take part in advanced sailing and regatta courses. Aquazonia is a vast leisure area equipped with a whole armada of fun pools, including whirlpools, counter-current water circuits and water cannons, as well as a 25-meter pool divided into 6 lanes for swimming, an 80-meter-long slide (which is unfortunately not always open) and facilities for children. Aquagym, swimming and aquabike classes are also available. Appreciable in this heat, the site could do with a little freshening up..

The club, located in the village of Balaté, right next to the famous La Goélette restaurant, is run by a team of sports enthusiasts as friendly as they are passionate, and offers introductory courses, white-water outings (passing jumps) and discovery outings around Saint-Laurent.
