Train

The station is located east of the centre (about 1.5 km), not far from Toome Hill. The bus no. 5 serves the centre of Tartu from the station. If you prefer, a taxi ride costs about €4. There are very few trains that serve the different cities, and the bus remains, as everywhere in Estonia, the best means of public transport. However, the car is the most convenient and quickest way. Since 2010, it is possible to take the train to and from Valga, which is located on the Estonia-Latvia border

GARE DE TALLINN (BALTI JAAM)

Tallinn railway station is a 10-minute walk from the Old Town. It is the country's largest railway station, opened in 1870 and completely renovated in the 1960s. It has several luggage lockers. Tickets can be purchased in the main hall. The reservations office is upstairs. Estonian cities served daily by Elron (elron.ee/en) include Pärnu, Tartu and Narva.
