Finally a new restaurant to enhance the gastronomic offer of the city! Most of the food used is from the region and the country, with the aim of showing the richness of Bolivian cuisine to tourists visiting Uyuni. An excellent combination of Andean and tropical influenced dishes. Some western dishes as well. The dishes offered are well done. We recommend the chocolate desserts, which are particularly exquisite. The drinks "de la casa" are also excellent. The service is attentive and the decor is well thought out.

La Taverne is located opposite the Alliance française and features both French cuisine (large choice of meat, pepper steak, filet mignon...) and Bolivian cuisine, in the quiet and relaxing setting of a carefully renovated colonial house. The chef Alvaro Michel offers a fine cuisine of high quality; the dishes are carefully presented, the wine list is interesting and the service is excellent. Economical formula foralmuerzo. Romantic atmosphere. Reservation recommended in the evening. Simply the best restaurant in town.

This is a very good restaurant located on the main square! The room is charming, with wooden tables and chairs that bring warmth. The cuisine will delight your palate! Excellent typical dishes (llama meat, picante mixto, pique macho...), beef parilla, pasta, fish... The dishes are copious and well presented. Impeccable service. Relatively dense wine list. Beers and Singani are also served. Recommended.

Gustu, which means "flavor" in Quechua, is one of the best restaurants in South America. The setting is superb, with an open kitchen where you can see the artists concocting their recipes like works of art. All the dishes are made exclusively with Bolivian products from local agriculture. Superb wine and cocktail list. In a romantic atmosphere with a baroque-chic decoration of the most beautiful effect, El Solar offers chuquisaqueñas, Spanish(tapas, potato tortilla, paella...) and French specialties. Quality cuisine based on many local and organic products. Their Bolivian adaptation of coq au vin is worth mentioning. The lunch formula is particularly attractive. Located in the hostal Tukos, this restaurant-peña offers good national and international dishes. Economical options foralmuerzo every lunchtime. Folkloric shows are often organized in the evening to accompany the meals. The typical dishes of the region are particularly good. We also recommend the filet mignon which is very well prepared. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, especially in the evening. Attentive service. A good place to go out in Potosí.

A historical "museum-restaurant" open for more than 130 years and housed in a Chiquitania-style house. The place has charm with its period decoration and its various rooms with antique furniture. The patio, with an old well and a pond where turtles frolic, is particularly pleasant. Here they serve an honest local cuisine, with typical dishes of the region, such as the very good majadito de pato (duck) or the picante de pollo (chicken in hot sauce). Attentive service and very soft prices.

Small restaurant very popular despite higher prices than its neighbors, very oriented for the tourist clientele, offering some traditional dishes and burgers, sandwiches ... Several options for vegetarians, numerous in the village! Unfortunately the food is of average quality, the service is very slow, and the staff is not very friendly. The setting is however very pleasant with a small pleasant patio and a terrace overlooking the square. There is also a book exchange and in the evening the place turns into a bar.

The restaurant at the boutique hotel La Posada is located in a small, pleasant courtyard, away from the noise of the city. This is one of the best places in town foralmuerzo, served with fresh baguette! On the menu is a soup or salad with a choice of 3 main courses and a dessert of the day. A la carte dishes at very reasonable prices considering the elegant setting. They also serve sandwiches, salads and crepes. Warmly recommended for lunch. Fast and attentive service.

A place that doesn't pay a mine and yet the Potosinos are pressing it… Traditional Bolivian cuisine: silpancho, cola aji, lomito… It's all right! Lunch is served at an unbeatable rate: a soup, a segundo to choose between 5 dishes, and a drink.

A small restaurant full of charm, well in the Mediterranean style of the hotel, with (for some tables) a superb view on the Copacabana bay. Heated and non-smoking room. One of the best restaurants in the city. Very wide choice of dishes on the menu: delicious and hearty fondues for two, vegetarian dishes and even moussakas, lasagna, filet mignon, chocolate fondues, full breakfasts. They also serve Bolivian wines, by the glass or bottle. Often full, remember to make reservations.

This restaurant is located above the main square, in the extension of the Ayacucho street... at an altitude of 4,060 meters, hence its name! You can sit at the table or at the bar. Decoration resolutely modern which misses a little of charm in comparison with other restaurants of the city. Hamburgers, pizzas, quesadillas, sandwiches, typical dishes, meats, fondues... You will find everything in this establishment with a relaxed atmosphere. The quality of the dishes is uneven. Professional and fast service. Sporting events are shown on several screens.

This restaurant in the main square was opened in recent years by the owners of Latina Café. Mainly snacks, like sandwiches, croque-monsieur or madame, but also some dishes and almuerzos. Excellent homemade chocolate. Try the sonso (yucca filled with cheese or meat, fried or baked), a specialty of the Oriente. Tables on the terrace facing the square, in the small patio and in the room decorated with old French advertisements. Good coffee. Smiling welcome, although the cuisine could be improved.

We eat in a beautiful covered patio. Despite a very chic framework, almuerzo is very affordable (25 BS). Specialities of llama meat.

It is a correct package, no more and no less. An asset: It's open on Sunday night! Local groups come to play in the small room, never a very high level but assuring the atmosphere. A little expensive. Restaurant «Tourist».

Quinta is open all day, like most restaurants in Cochabamba. Phone before going (by taxi, it's far enough). Pigeons, ducks and farm animals are the specialties of the house. An institution of the gastronomy of Cochabamba.

Huge room a little cold, but nice patio. Chico kitsch decoration and affordable price. Unfortunately, many clients complain about the service.

A single dish, a huge piece of Pacumutu (tenderloin) baked with fire, served as a variety of sauces and accompanying dishes. The view on the river, of course, is the main attraction of this bar-restaurant. The dishes are simple, nothing exceptional and prices are average. However, there is also a need for a drink for the «boliviano-international» atmosphere and the kitsch decor. It is only Bolivians who are going to place places like this. It's typical, no doubt, and far from it.
