Located in the hostal Tukos, this restaurant-peña offers good national and international dishes. Economical options foralmuerzo every lunchtime. Folkloric shows are often organized in the evening to accompany the meals. The typical dishes of the region are particularly good. We also recommend the filet mignon which is very well prepared. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, especially in the evening. Attentive service. A good place to go out in Potosí.

A historical "museum-restaurant" open for more than 130 years and housed in a Chiquitania-style house. The place has charm with its period decoration and its various rooms with antique furniture. The patio, with an old well and a pond where turtles frolic, is particularly pleasant. Here they serve an honest local cuisine, with typical dishes of the region, such as the very good majadito de pato (duck) or the picante de pollo (chicken in hot sauce). Attentive service and very soft prices.

A place that doesn't pay a mine and yet the Potosinos are pressing it… Traditional Bolivian cuisine: silpancho, cola aji, lomito… It's all right! Lunch is served at an unbeatable rate: a soup, a segundo to choose between 5 dishes, and a drink.

This restaurant in the main square was opened in recent years by the owners of Latina Café. Mainly snacks, like sandwiches, croque-monsieur or madame, but also some dishes and almuerzos. Excellent homemade chocolate. Try the sonso (yucca filled with cheese or meat, fried or baked), a specialty of the Oriente. Tables on the terrace facing the square, in the small patio and in the room decorated with old French advertisements. Good coffee. Smiling welcome, although the cuisine could be improved.

Quinta is open all day, like most restaurants in Cochabamba. Phone before going (by taxi, it's far enough). Pigeons, ducks and farm animals are the specialties of the house. An institution of the gastronomy of Cochabamba.

Huge room a little cold, but nice patio. Chico kitsch decoration and affordable price. Unfortunately, many clients complain about the service.

The view on the river, of course, is the main attraction of this bar-restaurant. The dishes are simple, nothing exceptional and prices are average. However, there is also a need for a drink for the «boliviano-international» atmosphere and the kitsch decor. It is only Bolivians who are going to place places like this. It's typical, no doubt, and far from it.
