After having been suspended for more than 7 months, tourist visas for Thailand are once again issued to the French. Since November 6th, it is therefore possible to apply for a "TR" tourist visa allowing to stay up to 3 months in the country. On the other hand, the Special Tourist Visa (STV) allowing to stay up to 9 months in Thailand still cannot be applied for. However, it should be noted that in order to benefit from a visa, each traveller must provide his or her last 6 bank statements showing for each a credit balance of at least €15,000, against a single bank statement with a minimum amount of €1,000 per person before the health crisis. In addition to the visa, travellers must present several elements : a confirmation of reservation at a government-certified hotel to spend the 14 days of quarantine; a negative Covid-19 test result (RT-PCR method), a Non-Covid medical certificate certified in English by a general practitioner and a certificate of fitness to travel by plane issued within 72 hours before take-off. Not forgetting the subscription to a health insurance mentioning a minimum coverage of 100 000 US dollars, including the COVID-19 treatment, valid for a minimum of 3 months upon arrival in Thailand.
