PRINTERS & STATIONERS
Read moreNo pens or notepads here. Like other East London venues (Dalston Superstore or JaguarShoes), Printers & Stationers isn't a stationery shop, but an absolutely brilliant wine bar. Behind Columbia Road, we come across this adorable little house, where customers are so local they seem to live on the premises. To get to the main room (presumably the former dining room), you pass a tiny counter, order your wine balloon (often French) and then through the kitchen. The atmosphere is relaxed.
LADY OF THE GRAPE
Read moreA feminist wine bar. Aiming to honor and support women in viticulture, 90% of the 300+ wines on display are from vineyards (national or otherwise) managed by women. What's more, these women's wines are made organically and biodynamically. The bar is also a bistronomic restaurant, with a menu inspired by French influences. The dishes are delicious. An authentic, ecological and elegant address, founded and run by oenologist Carole Bryon, who will be on hand to advise you on your choices!
BISTRO DU VIN
Read moreIn the heart of the old town's bar district, the Hôtel du Vin bar stands back in an inner courtyard. It's impossible to do it by chance! What a pleasure to settle in this charming and typically British lounge with its fireplace, its leather armchairs with a comfortable curve, its street lamps diffusing a soft light and its whisky library. Cigar lovers can also be suggested whisky/cigar combinations, for a successful blend of flavours. The jealously hidden address of the dandies!
