Founded in the UK in 1971, this global network of organic farms (World-Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms) is not yet well developed in Northern Macedonia. But by becoming a member of the association (around €25/person), you can spend a free holiday on small organic farms near Skopje, Delčevo, Makedonska Kamenica and so on. The idea is that you work a few hours a day in exchange for room and board. It's pretty rootsy, but it's a good way to spend a cheap vacation and live with the locals.
