This diving centre, run for several years by Roberto Bellardinelli and renowned for its professionalism, offers trips along the coast or at sea. With a bit of luck, it is possible to see seahorses in the waters of Porto Azzurro.

The beautiful Lago Verde, with its intense emerald green waters thanks to the presence of a particular algae, allows you to go for a nice walk in a kind of small paradise, which can also be done from the Narrow Valley. Follow the path that starts from the refuge, then turn right (the lake is perfectly indicated). From the refuge, there is less than 100 metres of difference in altitude. The return journey is the same way. It takes about three hours to walk at the foot of the Three Wise Men.

This 50-meter long, 25-meter wide and up to 6-meter deep open-air pool hosted the 2019 Summer Universiade diving competitions. The whole complex is very clean and well kept. It also has a large solarium and a bar-restaurant, as well as an indoor pool, the Piscina Ettore D'Elia, which is 25 metres long. A good plan for those who prefer sporty swimming to playful swimming along the coast.

A renowned diving club that organizes scuba or snorkeling dives to discover wonderful aquatic flora and fauna and breathtaking drop offs. The person in charge, Alfredo Guglielmi, nicknamed "il corsaro" (the privateer), is an institution on the island! This character is a former companion of Jacques Mayol but also assisted the Queen of the Deep Angela Bandini, and the great apnea master Umberto Pelizzari. This navigation company has been leading nature lovers and the curious through the Po Delta for over twenty years. For sports enthusiasts, water sports fans and the curious! Thanks to its calm waters, Lake Varese is one of Italy's most famous venues for rowing championship training. An activity that this historic club has been developing for many years. If you spend a long time on the lake, you may be able to sign up for a series of courses. And for rowing enthusiasts, Varese is the venue for the 2021 European Rowing Championships.

Why not visit the lake in a different way, while still retaining its full independence? Close to the beach of Lecco, the Lido Orsa Maggiore allows you to rent motor boats to take a ride on the lake. 40 hp engines, nautical licence not necessary. If the idea can make you dream, it has however a high cost, but daily rates are possible. The boats can accommodate four people. Reservation is highly recommended.

To the north of the city, along the banks of the Ticino river, here's a sports association offering fun canoeing and rafting trips for adults and children. This historic seaside resort in Naples opened in 1840 and has been frequented by such luminaries as Totò, Oscar Wilde and Richard Wagner. Located in the Posillipo district, at the foot of Palazzo Donn'Anna, it faces the Gulf of Naples, Mount Vesuvius and the silhouette of the island of Capri. It consists of a beach and a large platform on stilts where deck chairs are lined up. Snack bar, restaurant, wifi connection, everything is provided to spend a few hours - or the whole day! - in complete tranquillity.

The coastline of the Posillipo district is occupied by a succession of small bathing establishments that offer approximately the same services: direct access to the sea, rental of deckchairs and umbrellas, and sometimes snack bars or restaurants. The Bagno Sirena is located at the foot of the Palazzo Donn'Anna, a beautiful 17th century building that hangs on a reef and seems to extend into the sea. In the late afternoon, a refreshing swim after a day of sightseeing, facing the silhouette of Vesuvius, is a very pleasant moment.

Il Gabbiano ("the seagull") is a seaside resort in the Marechiaro district, west of Naples. It consists of terraces overlooking the sea, immersed in the lush Mediterranean vegetation. Everything is provided for a few hours of relaxation in complete tranquillity: sun loungers and parasols for hire, seawater swimming pool, bar, restaurant, shaded playground for children, direct access to the sea, parking. The establishment is managed by a mother and her three daughters who offer a smiling welcome and are very available.

Naples does not have its own beach. But along the coastline, several places are accessible for swimming. The most pleasant beaches are located around Posillipo towards Marechiaro. It is better to rent a deckchair, because the ground is not sandy but concrete. There are many bathing establishments under Palazzo Donn'Anna. In Mergellina, small boats shuttle you (€5) to the private beaches of Marechiaro. Finally, some Neapolitans do not hesitate to swim along the coast of Mergellina.

Lido Marechiaro is one of the many beach resorts in the area. Set along the rocky, indented coastline, it has a large platform on stilts above the water, with loungers and parasols lined up. In the evening, the address attracts many customers who come to enjoy the seaside atmosphere on the terrace of its restaurant. If the place is nice for an aperitif, we advise you to dine at one of the nearby restaurants, the trattoria Da Cicciotto or 'A Fenestella.

The diving centre is located in a cabin in the port of Margherita di Pula. Francesca will welcome you in French and will give you all the necessary explanations to discover the depths of the surrounding area. The dives are suitable for all levels and range from recreational diving to technical diving under Nitrox. The diving time is about 40 minutes, but you should allow at least two hours of time between the preparation, the trip to the site and the return. A medical certificate is mandatory.
