CAMPING SOBEC
Read morePlenty of pitches and modern bungalows. Opened in 1956, this top-quality campsite is very popular in summer, offering a wide range of activities including tennis, a climbing wall, beach volleyball and evening entertainment. It's also possible to swim in the river just a few meters away, where a beach has been laid out. The on-site restaurant is of excellent quality, so locals come here to eat, but also to take in the beauty of the surroundings for a digestive stroll and perhaps catch a glimpse of a squirrel or two.
HOTEL ET CAMPING FIESA
Read moreBetween Piran and Portorož, on the seafront, a pretty pink multi-storey house houses a family-run hotel with 16 recently renovated single rooms, some with balconies and breathtaking views of the Adriatic. Nearby: small, old-fashioned campsite with 30 pitches for tents and 110 for camper vans and mobile homes. There are also a few shops, including a grocery store. But the campsite, with its narrow pitches, is rather noisy at night. There's a lack of space and you feel like you're all on top of each other during the summer months.
