RESTAURANT OULIYA

Moroccan restaurant €€

Ouliya... as the name of Rachid's wife who opened this magnificent restaurant in the medina, a stone's throw from R'cif Square. Ouliya, this Moroccan cook who delights our taste buds with generous and tasty traditional dishes such as couscous, tajines, pastillas, made with seasonal products. In a peaceful atmosphere, the restaurant is located in the heart of a pretty restored riad offering guest rooms. Rachid proposes to guide you to get there: do not hesitate to ask him for directions, he is a native of the medina!

RESTAURANT KHMISSA

Moroccan restaurant €€
5/5
1 review

Nestled in the Atlantic Hotel, this restaurant with its hushed ambience is a pleasant surprise. Start off with a relaxing moment of music and cocktails at the bar, before sitting down to enjoy refined cuisine. We recommend the Khmissa tasting platter, which will give you an idea of the different local flavors, such as trid, hargma and lentils with khli. Seafood lovers will appreciate the tajine of octopus or dried mussels. Finally, the revisited sweets will round off the evening in style.

This address is well known to gourmets visiting Fez. Here, Fassies specialities are served alongside other traditional Moroccan and Mediterranean dishes that you can enjoy with a good bottle of wine, in the lush garden, the elegant dining room or on the rooftop terraces of the palace, with an incredible view of the Medina. To take this culinary experience one step further, the establishment also offers cooking workshops via the recommended Fes Cooking School and dinners where wine tasting is in the spotlight!

FONDOUK BAZAAR

Moroccan restaurant

Here is a warm café-restaurant nestled in the heart of the medina. Carried by the beautiful Marianne and her dynamic team, the place offers a refreshing break between two walks. Enjoy a lavender lemonade under the patio canopy or sit down at one of their antique tables for a mezze. The cuisine gives pride of place to local products while revisiting the traditional restaurant offer. It successfully combines Moroccan flavors with neighboring Mediterranean inspirations. Atmosphere, music and modern and relaxed decoration.

KUI-ZIN

Moroccan restaurant
4/5
1 review

For the past ten years or so, Kui-Zin has offered a menu of diverse influences. While Moroccan cuisine predominates, with tajines, couscous, pastilla and tanjia, Italy is not far behind. As it happens, Kenza Assri, first chef and right-hand woman to manager Hassan Amjahdi, lived there for fourteen years. Enough to trigger the amore della pasta! The evening is rounded off by a live band playing traditional music, to be enjoyed on the terrace by starlight.

BLACKCHICH CAFÉ

Moroccan restaurant
4/5
1 review

The Backchich now has a little brother, the Blackchich Café. Same owners, a little more restaurant than café, the establishment differs by more than a letter. In fact, the menu features Senegalese cuisine, as well as a few Lebanese specialties and forgotten Berber dishes such as angel hair with cinnamon. However, the original, arty decor, relaxed atmosphere, warm, young welcome and affordable prices are all very much in keeping with the original concept. Ideal for dinner for two on the terrace.

DAR MIMOUN

Three hundred years old, this family riad bears the first name of its current owner. While its tree-lined patio has lent itself to numerous film shoots, it was also the living quarters of the Glaoui, illustrious pasha and ancestor of the master of the house. Moderate appetites will delight in a Makfoul lamb tagine with a hint of cinnamon. Gourmets will appreciate a full traditional menu. Settled in the Moroccan lounge, we're sure you'll enjoy the slightly old-fashioned atmosphere. And on certain evenings, it's even better when traditional music plays!

Since 1989, the restaurant has been welcoming lovers of good food. The menu is well-stocked, ranging from pizzas and chawarma to grilled sole and beef medallions with apples. The establishment is also renowned for its Lebanese and Moroccan specialties, such as its fine grills and delicious meat tagine with prunes. The restaurant opens onto large picture windows, offering panoramic views of the Mediterranean. The owner is very friendly and loves to chat with his customers. Good value for money.

AMIGO

Moroccan restaurant
4/5

This address which does not pay mine, just at the entrance of the medina on the small square, is one of the best tables of Chefchaouen! The prices are very low and the tajines are delicious! This small shop offers you absolutely tasty typical Moroccan dishes: the tajine with sardines, which we recommend, the chicken beldi and home-made fries or the hearty couscous. We want to eat there every day! Moreover, the reception of the manager is very nice and warm. In this price range, this local canteen is perfect.

CAFE SINDIBAD

Moroccan restaurant
2/5
2 reviews

Hidden behind the Kasbah, overlooking the Outa al Hamam square, this restaurant offers one of the most beautiful views of Chefchaouen. Spacious, it has a large indoor room for the cold winter days. But it is its terraces, the large and the small, that we prefer. Open on the blue city, they are sheltered under canisses. A traditional cuisine is imposed in the plate, with the inescapable duo couscous and tagine. The small appetites will be delighted with skewers, served with a plate of French fries.

CAFE LES ARCADES

Moroccan restaurant

Located in the middle of Assarag Square, this café-restaurant offers a welcome haven of peace after wandering the narrow streets of the souk. Beef, turkey and meat kebabs or various tagines with tomatoes and eggs. Vegetarian couscous is also available. The establishment is positioned as an open window onto the square, allowing you to observe Moroccans in their daily lives and to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the region. Also a meeting place for tourists, this address is the gateway to Taroudant's various hotspots.

CHEZ IMIM

Moroccan restaurant

Located at the junction of Avenue Kennedy and Avenue du 29-Février, opposite the Hassan II mosque, the establishment is an ideal vantage point from which to contemplate the neighborhood. Despite its excellent visibility, which can be seen in the distance, it is nevertheless dwarfed by the immense mosque that watches over it. Boasting a terrace with a breathtaking view of the place of worship, this is the beating heart of Agadir's soul. Enjoy coffee and mint tea as you watch Moroccan life unfold before your eyes. Breakfast available.

CASA SLOUKIA

Moroccan restaurant

It's not easy to get to casa Sloukia, but tranquility comes at a price. First follow the Cap Spartel road before turning right at the "Sloukia" sign, then take the gravel road either with a good vehicle or in "hiking" mode. On arrival, the 360° view over the Strait is extraordinary. Enjoy traditional dishes such as this delicious farmhouse chicken tagine. This is more of a table d'hôte than a restaurant. Remember to reserve the day before by telephone and place your order. Perfect welcome. Very reasonable prices.

DAR EL FELLAH

Moroccan restaurant

Dar El Fellah, on the outskirts of Tahanaout, is a large guest farm surrounded by mountains, ideal for large groups. The setting is really very pleasant and it has the merit of being one of the only restaurants in the village. Food made with organic products is fine, but prefer tagines to grills (a little lean for the price). The welcome is courteous, professional and relatively fast, but without much warmth. You will also find local products, animals and games for children.

LE DOUAR

Moroccan restaurant €€

For once, you must first enter a boutique and then take the elevator to reach this restaurant, which occupies the rooftop of the Meydene. Set up under the open sky, it's time to discover authentic Moroccan cuisine, where melt-in-the-mouth tanjias rub shoulders with bissara, tuna O Lhrour and crispy pastillas. Before doing so, don't forget to take a stroll around the terrace to discover its different areas designed as if in a Moroccan village. Farm-fresh vegetables, barley couscous, steaming breads... it's almost like being there.

EL KARMOUSSA

Moroccan restaurant €€

The rococo inspiration of the decoration of the Palmeraie Resorts' Moroccan restaurant blends with the fine local cuisine, sometimes revisited, for a chic and gourmet culinary experience. A la carte, you can choose between unusual dishes such as quinoa couscous with seven vegetables, or more traditional dishes such as chicken tagine with lemon or sardines. And inevitably, at the end of the meal, the most greedy will wonder if there might not be some mhancha with amlou ice cream left... A nice address.

RESTAURANT LE 20

There's no need to introduce this institution, open since the 80s, which makes it a point of honor to provide impeccable service and serve dishes of exemplary freshness. Grilled fish, tender meats and classic dishes such as couscous royal, kefta, lamb, saint-pierre, etc. are all on the menu, making your mouth water!
