Inaugurated in 1980 and designed by the North American golf architect Robert Trent Jones Senior, Troia Golf is considered by Golf World magazine as the 17th best golf course in continental Europe, becoming one of the "100 best golf resorts in continental Europe in 2017". Located between the Sado estuary and the Serra da Arrábida mountain, this course is an 18-hole, par 72, 6,317-meter long golf course that stretches along the beach, with a magnificent view of the sea. There are two outstanding holes: 3 and 18.
