Today is the Great Day. I checked in for my new destination: Oqaatsut. Breakfast is the last shared meal with my friends. " Au revoir Julia, Gabriel, Marie-Louise and Søren. " It was a pleasure to meet you. Enjoy your trip and continue to enjoy! There is no sadness, we are in Greenland, every day is a party!

I jump into the captain's car and we go to the port. He peniously penalizes my suitcase to his boat by fearing a grimace of pain. I laugh. " I'll kill you before we even leave! " He laughs in turn. The sky is so blue… I take a look inside the boat but be irresistibly attracted to the bridge where I find this famous cold air. Let's sail, Captain! Oqaatsut, we're coming! The boat starts moving. Ole's got us cured from his zodiac, and he's no longer in our field of vision. The cruise is beautiful! Fishing boats and icebergs animate the crossing. We are approaching the picturesque little village. No port, just a huge ice plate. The ship hits it violently on several occasions. Finally, the front of the boat slides over and takes its own. The Captain brings a ladder so we can land on snow-covered ground. That's it, here I am in Oqaatsut. Small colored houses, not a sound. A quiet place. Ole welcomes me to the Nordlys Hotel. " In 30 minutes, Taqi will be there for your dog sleigh ride. " I'm the only tourist on this winter day. Wow! I feel privileged to be here, to have the chance to see this paradisiac place that made me dream… I see Taqi through the window of the hotel's living room. He's bringing the dogs together. They're screaming, ready to run! I don't suspect it yet but Taqi is about to offer me the best experience of my life! With Ole, we walk outside and get closer to him. I'll use her hand and mouse. The mayor invites me to tell the local hunter if I'm too cold. In that case, I'll just run a little bit to warm up. Okay, no problem. " I say goodbye to Ole and sit in the sled, my hands firmly stuffed with central rope. " Dogs run now and I'm swept away. Taqi runs on the side. I'm alone in the sled. Dogs run faster, they're bleeding like fossils. Taqi keeps running. I look at him and wait for the magic moment where he will suddenly join me by throwing himself on the sled. FLICKHH!

Wooooouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu Taqi is with me now, sitting in front of me. I see his back, his face is turned to dogs and LANDSCAPES TO CUT THE BREATH! Snowy mountains and this intense feeling of immensity… space, space and space…. Nobody on the horizon… not one noise outside the breath of dogs… Nothing is an obstacle to the sled. We're overcoming everything, everything! See the big rock there? Now we fly over!! Incredible! The terrain is very varied: Frozen fjord, powder or more compact snow, steep rocks in the mountains…. I'm literally amazed. Speed is exciting and my heart smiles all along. I feel so lucky to be here with this local hunter. My eyes will have seen this stunning beauty, it's an extraordinary gift! It's more than just a trip. Through the technique of Taqi, there are so many stories, centuries… all the history of Greenland passes under my eyes, go through my veins… My heart beats the rhythm of Greenland. The wind slaps my face, the cold burns my eyes but I have never been so happy of my life! I'm studying how Taqi runs the sled. He has no whip, he whispers words to his dogs. His voice is warm and reassuring. When the order is not followed, it strongly repeats it with the same hot voice and dogs follow the instructions. There is harmony between them. Driving a dog sled also requires an excellent fitness. Sometimes Taqi leaves the sled to help the animals, it grows it with all its strength or short with them to stimulate them. When I write "short", I mean high speed. Taqi is as good at racing as his dogs. I'm impressed! I look at it… when the sled goes down a slope, dogs are always as fast, but we have to slow down to avoid crushing ourselves. Taqi uses his foot as a brake. His feet hit the rocks, slipped on the ice but are very effective. I'd like to keep this magic moment, but I can't. I have to let him go, let the wilderness take him back. Nothing belongs to me here, but generosity is everywhere. We catch a lot of nice moments, but like fish, they're going between the fingers… Nothing lasts, maybe why I want to talk to you about my trip. To keep these days in me a little longer. But I can't… they're yours now. Fish jump, like stories: from one head to another; -))
