Casa do Baleeiro is a vacation home located in Calheta de Nesquim, on the island of Pico, in the Azores. This seaside house offers panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, where you can watch whales and dolphins using the binoculars provided. The house features a living room with flat-screen TV and fireplace, as well as a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher. There is also a private bathroom. You can prepare your own meals in the kitchen, or try one of the traditional Portuguese restaurants in the center of Calheta de Nesquim, 1 km away. Bicycles can be rented to explore the island at your own pace. Cavacos Bay is 1.4 km away. By car, you can reach the center of the island in 25 minutes and the Museum of Whalers in 16 minutes. São Roque do Pico is a 25-minute drive away. Pico airport can be reached in 43 minutes by car.

Sixteen comfortable rooms in a welcoming setting, in fact an old restored manor house. Between Maria the receptionist and Luis Gregorio, the director, you are in good hands! Both, and why not both, will be happy to inform you about this island that they are so fond of. For the anecdote, Luis's grandfather was mayor of Santa Cruz! Both speak a little French; in short, a valid and recommended address.

On the side of the market and a very beautiful place, it is one of the cheapest establishments in the city.

Do not rely on the appearance of the establishment, which is not very engaging. The 32 comfortable rooms are all equipped with telephone and TV, with private bathroom. There are some on the street, which is rather noisy during the day. The residence is located right next to the Machado Museum. Very good value for money.

Modest establishment with 18 rather sober rooms with private bathroom, cable TV, and air conditioning for some. The decoration is old-fashioned, but you are 100 m from the sea and that is perhaps where you will find the main interest of this residence (it is always nice to wake up with a view of the sea!). It should be noted, however, that the structure is clean and the welcome is friendly. Prices are competitive and if you are looking to make a stopover without breaking the bank, Residencial Santa Cruz is worth considering.
