Travelers who are used to flying in Asia are familiar with Jetstar Airways, the Australian low-cost airline (owned by Qantas Airways). One of its subsidiaries, Jetstar Japan, is based in Japan, in Tokyo, to be precise. It began operations in July 2012. There are just over 10 destinations served by the company in Japan (Sapporo, Kagoshima, Naha (Okinawa), Fukuoka or Nagasaki). From Tokyo, you will have to leave from Narita airport, the only drawback. Prices are competitive and affordable.
