Tōkyō Metro operates 9 lines that crisscross the entire city:

Chiyoda, between Ayase and Yoyogi-uehara.

Ginza , between Asakusa and Shibuya.

Hanzomon , between Shibuya and Oshiage.

Hibiya , between Kita-senju and Naka-meguro.

Marunouchi, between Ikebukuro and Ogikubo on the one hand, and between Nakano-sakaue and Hōnancho on the other.

Namboku, between Meguro and Akabane-iwabuchi.

Tōzai, between Nakano and Nishi-funabashi.

Fukutoshin , between Wakōshi and Shibuya. This is the new line, which has been in operation since summer 2008.

Yurakucho , between Wakōshi and Shin-kiba.

This pass allows you to take a large number of train lines and thus to travel all over Japan at the speed of the Shinkansen (the Japanese TGV).
