The chef, who speaks excellent English, is originally an academic with a passion for Buddhist culture, and knows a lot about the traditions that have shaped this cuisine. Today, she reinterprets it in her own way, much to our delight. We recommend choosing the set, which allows you to sample a multitude of delicious small dishes based on fresh, local ingredients, as well as delicacies fermented with patience and love on site.

At the end of a small alley, it is the most famous restaurant in Insa-dong, at least the most touristic. It is run by a Buddhist monk who offers in an authentic setting entirely vegetarian menus prepared with mountain herbs (said the legend...). The owner has also published several cookery books. If the place remains popular among foreigners who want to discover Korean cuisine in a charming setting, it is often full of tourists for dinner, businessmen coming for lunch.

For those who like to brunch, head to this establishment with its minimalist, modern decor, brightened up by charming yellow tulips. In this "landmark for couples and good girlfriends" you can enjoy classic brunch fare: soups, salads, hot and cold sandwiches, as well as a few desserts. We particularly recommend the well-stocked mixed salad (콥샐러드) with the grilled avocado sandwich (그릴드아보카도샌드위치). It's fresh, it's good, it's relatively light, so we don't hold back from going.

This restaurant, with its very modern decor, is very popular, especially with the trendy "Busanese" youth. They come here regularly to enjoy the house specialty: tender, juicy steak cooked to perfection! So good you don't want to finish it, really. To accompany the steak, there are pasta dishes, risottos and appetizers (try the fried milk bites). Some delicious cocktails are also on the menu. A quality, tasty, top-notch address!

This is possible in this fabulous little restaurant where two cooks are on duty all day long cooking, breading and grilling fish and shellfish. On the right side of the street you will find this miraculous little restaurant. It's tiny, it's only 2 to 3 metres wide, and you might only recognize it by the phone number on a sign, but it doesn't taste much better... A small maritime feast in prospect for a bite to eat!

Located on the^2nd floor of the Jagalchi market next to a host of other fish restaurants, we like this establishment for its sea view, its low tables, its good atmosphere and, of course, its cuisine! In this long restaurant, you'll find everything, based on fresh fish of course (raw, in soup...). But the set menu (30,000 won) with its bevy of small dishes is a marvel, and we highly recommend it. A little bonus: the menu is in English and the photos can help you make your selection.

For vegetarians or those who prefer fish, don't worry. The establishment also serves salads, pasta and some risottos. There may be a bit of a wait though, as this restaurant is quite popular.

Right in front of the Chinese junk replica. The restaurant is on the second floor, just above a small fish market. You choose your fish at the market, where it is prepared in front of you and brought to the restaurant. It's certainly not the only fish restaurant on the coast, but we liked the "I'm going shopping" aspect. Tasting tip: mix wasabi with soy sauce and gently dip your fish in it. A trio of flavours that works perfectly and will seduce you.

Halfway between Andong and Hahoe, just a few steps from the bus stop, this café-restaurant offers an ideal break for those wishing to fill their stomachs or take a break before or after visiting the traditional village. Nestled in an old renovated house and delicately decorated, this establishment offers a relaxing setting and fresh, quality cuisine. The menu features Western brunches as well as classic Korean dishes. The cute souvenir store is well worth a visit. The staff speak a little English.

This panoramic restaurant (grill, buffet, café, chic brasserie) in the futuristic tower overlooking Jongno has a very chic, uncluttered, elegant and colourful decoration. The Franco-Asian fusion restaurant specializing in grilled meats is refined but quite expensive. Yet it offers a truly breathtaking view of Bugaksan and the Gyeongbokgung. The café is an affordable restaurant-bar with a breathtaking view of the south, Jongno and Namsan. He offers jazz concerts. Very crowded, you'd better think about making a reservation.

Ladies and Gentlemen, if you love beef from every angle, then feel free to push open the door to this barbecue restaurant. In small pieces, in strips, marinated or simply salted, you will be able to revel in the tasty beef that will be served to you. Note that the tartar is also very good. Some noodle dishes can also be ordered (yukgae ramyeon or doenjang ramyeon). In a very good restaurant which is certainly not the cheapest but which is easily forgiven once the dishes in the mouth.
