Discover le Népal

Along the long thrill ride through the Kathmandu valley to the west, the panorama is breathtaking! This is where many of Nepal's noble peaks are finally showing the tip of their noses. In the region, one can see Dhaulagiri (8,167 m), then the South Annapurna (7,219 m) and, a little further back, the Annapurna I (8,090 m), which Herzog and Lachenal reached on 3 June 1950. Next come the Macchapuchare (6,997 m), which seems the most imposing because it is the closest, the pyramidal summit of Annapurna III (7,555 m) and Annapurna IV (7,525 m), followed by Annapurna II (7,937 m), and finally the Lamjung Himal (6,983 m), the Manaslu (8,163 m) and the Himalchuli (7,893 m). Before reaching Pokhara, bordered by the tranquil shores of Lake Phewa, the small Bandipur with its lively Newar traditions, Gorkha and its gentle way of life and other atypical natural sites await you..
