Timetable
In Nepal. Most museums are open from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and usually close on Tuesdays.

To be booked
In Nepal. For trekkers, you can choose to organize your trek before you leave via a specialized agency. From simple lodge bookings to major expeditions with porters and guides, anything is possible and it's well worth planning well in advance, so that all you have to do is set off. Rates generally include accommodation in Kathmandu before and after the trek, tours and the trek itself, with all the necessary equipment. Always choose an agency that is a member of the Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN). A guide is now compulsory for all treks in Nepal.
Bhutan. You'll probably go through an agency to book your visa and stay, so this will be a good opportunity to reserve your itinerary. You need to book and organize your trip at least 15 days in advance.
Budget & Tips
Organizing your trek on site in Nepal through a local agency is a less expensive solution than booking from France. You can choose an all-inclusive package (food, accommodation and transport), or a package including equipment and paying for food and accommodation on your own.
Smokers
Smoking has been banned in public places in Bhutan since 2004 (1st country to ban tobacco sales). You are allowed to bring 300 cigarettes with you.
