It's one of the oldest trails in Mauritius and the only one to cover the Ferney Valley in the south-east.

It is one of the oldest trails in Mauritius and the only one to take place in the Ferney Valley in the South-East, a sanctuary of Mauritian flora and fauna. Very popular, the event gathers each year more than 3,500 participants who compete in the 13, 20 and 38 km events, not forgetting the 5 km fun version for 6-12 year olds. The 38 km trail is a technical event, mainly for professional runners and good level athletes. Part of the proceeds go to the Ferney Conservation Trust Valley.
