A multitude of small stalls offer Chinese, Malaysian, Indian and Thai specialties. You can take them away with you, or simply enjoy them seated around an open-air table - provided you can find a seat, which is not easy. In addition to eating well at a low price, you'll be indulging in the Malaysian custom of the food court. The equivalent of our fast-food restaurants, with plenty of choice.

For meat lovers, this is one of the best steakhouses in town. The menu is very varied, and we're delighted to find the famous Japanese Wagyu beef, with its unparalleled tenderness. Although it's primarily for the meat that we come, the meatless options are diverse and equally delicious: salmon, salads, soups, lasagne and vegetables are all available. The service is impeccable and the atmosphere both chic and relaxed. To accompany all this, the wine list is very comprehensive. Advance reservations are recommended.

For lovers of fresh shellfish and fish, this great Chinese restaurant is for you. Every evening, the same scenario repeats itself: a horde of hungry customers flock here for the freshness of the produce, the reasonable prices and the good food. You choose your dinner directly from the aquariums or crates. The chef then prepares your selection according to your taste: steamed, grilled, fried, curried, in a sweet-and-sour or soy-ginger sauce, the choice is vast. It's best to get there around 6 p.m. to avoid stock-outs.

This is a restful restaurant, with an elegant, almost bourgeois setting, showcasing the know-how of Indian craftsmen. Finely carved chairs, family portraits decorated with garlands of fresh flowers (to honour the deceased). They serve the food of the Brahmins, the caste of priests and intellectuals! Therefore, the card is entirely vegetarian and alcohol is prohibited. The menu changes every day. Try lentil curry, coconut and vegetable curry and dessert kulfi (Indian ice cream). With its terrace on stilts overlooking the breeding ponds, mangroves and palm trees, this farm offers not only delicious cuisine, but also a very pleasant setting. Located right at the entrance to the Kubang Badak reserve, it's a great place to stop before exploring the mangroves. For those who love seafood, the restaurant itself is well worth the detour. And all at very reasonable prices.
