Protected by the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this area offers incredible natural beauty and rich biodiversity. Visitors can enjoy scuba diving, surfing, snorkeling, fishing or simply relax on the tranquil beaches. The surrounding game reserves also offer the chance to spot the Big Five. The region is also renowned for its incredible birdwatching and rich Zulu culture. Visitors can discover Zulu culture and learn new ways of life by visiting a food forest. Carlos, the lodge owner, offers accommodation in a large tent located in a food forest, with cooking facilities and running water. There is also plenty of space to relax and a swimming pool. Volunteers are invited to help with ecological projects, gardening, construction, animal care, general maintenance and welcoming tourists. Volunteers can work up to 3 to 5 hours a day, 5 days a week.
