The rooms, dormitories and sanitary facilities are new, clean (cleaned daily) and well thought-out, with individual curtains in the dormitories. The friendly staff deliver top-quality service (welcome juice, towels provided...) with a smile. A very good value address!

Here is an address that completes very well the hotel offer of Manila and especially the district of Intramuros where the hotel offer is almost non-existent. The White Knight, located in the very charming Plaza San Luis, offers 29 rooms decorated with the charm of the old. Nevertheless, they are well equipped and above all very clean, for a rather interesting quality-price ratio. If you are looking for the quietness of Intramuros and a historical atmosphere, this is an address not to be missed. We like it. For a Spanish stay!

Freshly opened in 2019, Bacau Bay has joined the select club of upscale hotels in Coron. It's true that once you walk through the doors, you are immersed in a world of luxury and refinement. The staff is courteous and the welcome is warm. The rooms are sober and elegant, the bed is soft and the bathroom well equipped. The swimming pool, the cocktail bar, the restaurant, everything is up to what we expect from an establishment of this standing. The little extra: a pretty pontoon from which the excursion boats leave directly.

Opened in 2019, the Marison Hotel, with its beautiful illuminated and curved facade at the corner of the street, is "only" a 3-star but it has the ambition of the greatest. And the bet is successful because indeed the services offered are beyond the expectations of a 3-star: a charming, polite and available staff, comfortable rooms with a contemporary design (a little impersonal too, it's true), some offering a view of the volcano, a very good breakfast, a restaurant and even a small swimming pool. In short, everything is gathered to spend a good stay.

There are several huts, each with its own bathroom and a breathtaking view. The owners are very helpful and can organize all your excursions in the surrounding rice fields. A breakfast is served in the morning, and the cherry on the cake: it is possible to ask to light a fire in front of your hut.

It's the first hostel worthy of the name in Port Barton and already CocoRico is the place to be for backpackers passing through the seaside town. The whole place is very nice, the decoration combining the charm of the native houses and the modernity of the waxed concrete, has a chic side in the air of time. The dormitories are comfortable (curtains on each bed), and the shared bathrooms are pleasantly clean and practical. In the restaurant, from breakfast to dinner, everything is excellent, and on weekends the atmosphere is festive. The new place to be in Port Barton !

In the heart of Batad village, a charming guesthouse with basic but comfortable rooms and decent sanitary facilities (not always with hot water but like everywhere in Batad). The food is very good (we recommend the vegetable chopsuey with local rice of course) and the view from the terrace on the first floor is simply incredible of beauty and tranquility. Don't hesitate to stop there just to eat. On top of that, you can visit a native house and even make your own rice, a great experience!

In terms of paradise, let's face it, you can hardly do better. Located on the magnificent beach of Duli, 25 km from El Nido, at the end of a bumpy road (paradise has to be earned!), a few simple but pretty and comfortable bungalows stand proudly between forest, cliffs and white sand beach. What a pleasure to wake up with the sound of the waves and such a great view. On the agenda, surfing and lazing around. A very good breakfast and restaurant. A waking dream for all nature lovers.

Opened in 2022, this hostel is conveniently located on the road to Paliton Beach and next to the Wonderland bar. It has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. Tea and coffee are available for guests. The rooms (mixed or women's dormitories) are very spacious, we love the design which mixes waxed concrete and wooden furniture, there are big lockers for bags and each bed has its curtain. The common sanitary facilities are clean and functional. In short, a no-fault for this hostel!

A nice little resort, but quite off the beaten track; it's the ideal place to be quiet and relax. The complex is well laid out on the rocks, with a swimming pool, panoramic seafront bar, restaurant and pool table. There are daily activities on offer, and scooters can of course be hired to escape the languor from time to time. The garden is superb, the bungalows are well-kept but a little old-fashioned, and the rates are agreeable. We like it, even if it lacks a bit of beach.

This is.' s best value for money. The five bungalows are voluptuous in a lush tropical garden which guarantees optimal privacy. They are comfortable (private health with hot water, TV - cable for two of them, air conditioning), and we appreciate their small private terrace. The staff were friendly and helpful. This hotel with Genesis Divers offers charming bamboo and nipa units. Common health care is very well maintained. It's more expensive for non-divers. The place is really pleasant and like small budgets that like to buller… even to others elsewhere. 

Just below Batad Pension, very rudimentary rooms in traditional huts (without electricity). One of them is a real museum of ifugao art (with skulls of animals including monkeys, rabbits, deer and wild boars): it was the house of Ramon's grandfather more than a century ago. The food is very good. Ramon is one of the village elders, so he is well respected and has a lot to teach you. A good place to have a 100% local experience. Price is right.

Kawayan is one of Siargao's most exclusive and elegant resorts. It comprises just two superb villas, each with its own swimming pool, which can accommodate two or three people. Set in a lush tropical garden, they are beautifully furnished (the outdoor showers are most relaxing) and very comfortable. Unlike the Tropicana, however, it is aimed more at the business clientele (or any traveler looking for a place to sleep without worrying about leisure facilities). This well-kept and well-located establishment offers small, clean and functional rooms. The services offered are worthy of a comfort hotel (room service, elevator, laundry, parking and conference room). Good value for money.

It is one of the first resorts to be established on the island, in 1988. Its eight nippa cottages overlook the beautiful beach of Larena. The rooms are not the most modern, they are relatively simple and the comfort is rudimentary but the whole is rather well kept, in edge of sea. The setting is peaceful and authentic, we swim, we relax with a book, we go to meet the inhabitants, we stroll on the beach and we discover the island... In short, we enjoy.

This youth hostel is THE meeting place for backpackers in Cebu! If you're looking for a place with a young and often (very) festive atmosphere, you're in for a treat: a lively rooftop bar and swimming pool (unfortunately temporarily closed), communal areas decorated in an industrial style and a restaurant serving rather good food. The rooms and dormitories (mixed or for women) are simple but decent, and the staff are welcoming and dynamic. Perfect for meeting other travelers.

We like the fact that there are dormitories reserved for women and that the common bathrooms are quite clean and well maintained. The breakfasts (pancakes and omelets cooked under our eyes) are at the top and the team is all smiles, very nice. The wifi is efficient, and the atmosphere is ideal to meet other travelers while being quite calm.

Overlooking the small beach of Small Lalaguna, Out of the Blue is an intimate family resort. The villas combine Mediterranean (beautiful terracotta tiles) and local influences with every possible comfort. The rest of the property is just as pleasant with two pools (one high up, the other at sea level), a superb view of the bay, an attentive and professional staff and finally the Verandah restaurant, reputed to be one of the best in Sabang, whose menu mixes western and local dishes for all appetites!

At 35 meters from the beach, it is the first and still one of the only resorts in Port Barton with a swimming pool. The thatched and nippa bungalows are very simple and not particularly modern but they all have a small terrace overlooking the pool. Although not at all luxurious, it is one of the most stylish hotels in Port Barton. The owners and staff are friendly and can be very helpful in organizing excursions in and around Port Barton. A peaceful and welcoming establishment.

At the quiet end of White Beach lies this charming resort and diving center, set between jungle and sea. The cozy, spacious rooms have a rustic charm and all have a sea or pool view. Sixteen rooms in all, accommodating 2 to 5 people. The two big advantages of this hotel (in addition to the incredible sea view)? The professionalism of the staff, who know the area and the seabed like the back of their hand, and the food in the restaurant are top-notch! The atmosphere is friendly and tranquil.

All rooms are spacious, comfortable and functional. Those in the superior category all have their own balcony overlooking the pool. This is quite rare and therefore very much appreciated. The staff are available and efficient, and the hotel provides every possible service, including airport transfers, dry cleaning and room service.
