50 minutes from El Nido, on the coast of San Fernando is located this beautiful resort like no other. Opened by nature lovers (all the buildings are self-sufficient in renewable energy) and also great sportsmen (yoga classes every day and kite surfing classes every day from November to March), this resort offers nice bungalows between sea and jungle (with outside bathrooms: a treat!). The kitchen is entirely concocted from local products and the menu changes every day. We recommend it for a stay far from everything.

Run by Sally, this superb building reinterprets traditional Filipino style while guaranteeing modern comfort. The decor is sublime and comes mainly from Bohol artisans. Beyond the cachet of the place, it's also the green and social aspect that appealed to us. Part of the profits are donated to the Baclayon communities for various initiatives, among others. In short, true ecotourism! The icing on the cake is that the homemade breakfasts are absolutely delicious. The family has 15 dogs. A real favorite!

Built in 1870, it is one of the best preserved period houses in Vigan. All the rooms and furniture are authentic. Tom Cruise stayed here during the filming of Oliver Stone's 1989 movie Born on the Fourth of July , and the owners of the house are very proud of it. The place is perfect for those who have always dreamed of sleeping in a wooden four-poster bed in an old-fashioned atmosphere. Recommended.

The Reggae guesthouse is a very friendly establishment of six individual and family bungalows of native house inspiration , nestled at the entrance of the beach of Alona (seven minutes on foot). A beautiful address where one appreciates the calm, its rock and good child atmosphere and especially its luxuriant garden. Breakfasts are included and will be served on the terrace or in the bungalow. The bar and the kitchen are open from 7:30 am to 10 pm. In short, everything is done so that you will not miss anything. A favorite that we recommend to travelers!

Very simple, clean and comfortable rooms. Friendly establishment with all its woodwork, very quiet, a little above the Log Cabin (shortcut just after on the left, blue portico). A veranda, accessible on the floor from the common room, offers a magnificent view on the whole valley. Wifi is available on the terrace. Some of the rooms have a great view of the village and the valley and are in our opinion the best plan for couples in Sagada. Good value for money for this guesthouse.

"Your home in Sagada" is how one of the oldest addresses in the city defines itself. And it's quite true! Family atmosphere (come for dinner or breakfast and you'll have a pretty good idea of the said atmosphere) for this well kept guesthouse. The rooms are beautiful and we prefer the ones not facing the street. One will find there especially a feeling of wellbeing, due largely to the generosity of the personnel. We recommend it.

Opened in 2016, this is the closest address to the bus terminal (ideal when arriving by night bus at 5am) and close to stores and restaurants. The rooms, with wooden furniture and rustic decoration, are comfortable, they benefit from a private bathroom, wifi and electrical outlets (almost a luxury in Banaue). The owners will be happy to help you organize your excursions, so be sure to let them know in advance as they slip out of the reception area from time to time. A very good price.

This charming Bed & Breakfast is located along the Pagsanjan River in a peaceful and relaxing setting. The rooms are nicely decorated, they are welcoming and the bedding is comfortable... In short, we are sure to spend a good night there. The breakfast is a real treat, served by the river. The little extra touch: the charming owners are real music lovers, there is always a sweet melody in the air.

This basic but clean guesthouse offers 16 dorm beds and a private bedroom. Cable TV and Wi-Fi. The owners are in small care. The location is not perfect, but for a short budget it is an option.

One of the cheapest establishments in Boracay. The rooms are basic but very comfortable and especially very clean (with original decoration). The hotel is located on the beach and a kite school is adjacent.

Small, rather friendly establishment close to the harbour in the heart of the village of Coron. The rooms are comfortable and decorated in a rustic style, but they lack light in the daytime. 

This casita with the look of an old colonial house is a real oasis of calm in the heart of Legazpi. Tastefully decorated with a host of personal touches (such as the host's own paintings), and open to the outdoors, it feels both at home and unplugged as if on vacation. The breakfast is homemade with fresh products, it is delicious. It's a great place to stay to explore the region of Bicol, which the lovely hosts, Elizabeth and Martin, speak about with great passion. We recommend it!

The location is a little off the beach, but it's well laid out and everything is done to make you feel at ease with the staff and other guests. The rooms and dormitories are fairly simple but clean and well-maintained. The garden has been laid out as a place to relax and eat, with cushions, small tables and a few plants. Halfway between an inn and a bed & breakfast, this friendly establishment is perfect for groups of friends.
