Cebu airport is located on the island of Mactan (Lapu-Lapu). By car, Cebu City can be reached in 30 to 45 minutes without traffic jams. There's no signposting for the uninitiated traveller, but don't panic... just tell a driver your destination and he'll tell you which bus to catch. You pay on the bus (bring change). Departures for Danao (where boats leave for Camotes), Maya (for Malapascua) and Hagnaya (for Bantayan), among others. Leave well in advance if you need to catch a boat, as traffic jams in Cebu can be monstrous.
