Sna Jolobil means "the house of the weaver" in Tzotzil. This organization brings together 800 weavers from 20 Tzotzil and Tzetzal communities in the highlands of Chiapas. The objective is to revitalize and preserve Mayan art by encouraging its members to study and reproduce ancient textiles and motifs, cotton and wool dyeing methods, traditional weaving techniques... All pieces are original creations of unparalleled quality, resulting from the interpretation and renewal of ancestral motifs.

This shop sells beautiful pieces created by Sara Almeraya, a young designer from Oaxaca. Don't miss the hand-embroidered denim jackets, which are her specialty. Some represent beautiful flowers, others are the effigy of Frida Kahlo and the most amusing ones carry messages(Pa'todo mal Mezcal, pa'todo bien también, "When everything goes wrong, mezcal; when everything goes right, mezcal too"). Also jewelry and calaveras. Very pop, we love it.
