DON CAFETO
Read morePlace frequented by locals and travellers. A safe value in the morning, noon and evening. Grilled salads, meat and fish. The state governor even has a reserved place (see pictures above the top table). All chicken dishes are particularly valuable.

LA PARRILLA
Read moreExcellent meat restaurant on the most famous avenue in Playa. Given its location, the pieces of meat are much more expensive than elsewhere, and it is not here that we make savings.

LOS JINETES
Read moreGood meat restaurant. The location is clean and has air conditioning, a quite good luxury in Villahermosa…
SONORA STEAK
Read moreThis excellent meat restaurant is located in a large house. The house specialty is the Rib Eye Añejo, unless you prefer a small chateaubriand or a New York Steak. Here, there is something for every language. Wherever your heart (and your appetite) takes you, you'll have a nice piece of meat on your plate with perfectly cooked meat. Small vegetables and baked potatoes on the side. No chance of being disappointed: this is one of the best restaurants in town.
ASADERO SUPER BURRO
Read moreAn excellent address which, although it doesn't look like much, is ideal for a simple and copious dinner and is as well frequented by locals as foreigners. The speciality is grilled meat, accompanied by homemade tortilla (rare enough on the peninsula to be noted). The menu also includes burritos, stuffed potatoes and a molcajete (stone bowl) that is a must-try. Your mouth is watering as you watch the cooks busy themselves in the small open kitchen, not to mention the smell... Timeless in Loreto, and often crowded.
BIFE EL ALMACÉN
Read moreAre you one of those people who think that only a big piece of red meat can restore your strength after a day of walking around the city? This Argentinian restaurant with its hearty cuts of beef will meet all your expectations. It is inevitably what your eyes will first catch on the menu... but a little creativity will not hurt you: why not let yourself be tempted by a piece of roast duck, a suckling pig or a kid? All of this is enjoyed in an elegant rustic-industrial atmosphere.
LOS PIONEROS
Read moreCome on, we won't hide it, it's our favorite place for the local breakfast: freshly squeezed orange juice and, above all, pork meat in tacos (including a very nice cheek) or in barbacoa (spicy sauce), all to be accompanied by quesadillas and nopals. Not to be missed under any circumstances. The sign has other more central branches, but this one is by far the most pleasant: a small wooden hut with a tree on the roof around which it is built. Charming and tasty.
LAS BOTANAS
Read moreThe restaurant serves meat dishes and specialities from the region. We are far from gourmet cuisine, but the dishes are rich and very good for the price. You can taste cabrito (goat meat), dried meat and more classical dishes, such as steak T-bone and Rib Eye. Thematic evening around mariachi on Thursdays and on Saturdays on Saturdays.
ASADERO CIEN
Read moreThis is a very good restaurant, with several locations in the area (all equally popular). The place specializes in grilled meats, ideal for lovers of juicy and tender meats. There are plenty of options: arracheras, picanha de las favelas, tacos, cecina, burgers and a black bean cheese dish. The restaurant itself doesn't have much charm, the atmosphere is mostly casual and you go there with your family. A great classic though, for the quality of the meats.
TACOS EL FRANC
Read moreTacos de cabeza, al pastor, tripas, adobada, asada... all accompanied by generous portions of guacamole and sauces to die for. A real institution, which boasts to be one of the oldest taquerias in Tijuana. That's it! We don't know if it's true, but in any case, the tacos are delicious and well worth the detour. The large restaurant room with a very minimalist decoration (not to say non-existent) is open to the outside and includes a few tables on the terrace.
