The Chihuahua-Pacific Railway, also known as El Chepe, is a major rail line in northwestern Mexico. Operated by Ferromex, this line links the cities of Chihuahua and Los Mochis on the Pacific coast. It crosses the Sierra Madre Occidental mountain range and runs along the Barrancas del Cobre, also known as the Copper Canyons. The line is considered one of the thirteen man-made wonders of Mexico. It accommodates tourist, local and freight trains. The tourist trains, known as El Chepe, offer scenic routes and allow travelers to discover the region's spectacular scenery.
