Several airlines operate from Oaxaca Airport, including Aeromexico, Vivaaerobus Volaris, for domestic destinations. United Epress and American Eagle offer flights to the USA (Dallas, Chicago, Los Angeles and Houston), and Aerotucan to the Pacific coast. When you leave the airport, go to the ticket office of one of the companies offering collectivos to the city centre. This is the fastest and cheapest way to get to your hotel.

Manuel Crescencio Rejón International Airport is served by several companies (VivaAerobus, Volaris, TAR Aerolíneas and Aeroméxico) which allow to reach many national destinations. The American companies provide international connections. The city centre of Merida is less than 10 km away and is accessible by shuttle bus. The short distance guarantees accessible fares, including by taxi or private vehicle.

The Aguascalientes airport, 24 kilometers south of the city, serves destinations in Mexico and the United States. Flights leave for Mexico City, Monterrey, Puerto Vallarta, Cancún and Tijuana, regularly or seasonally. You will have to fly with one of the following companies: Aeromar, Aeroméxico, Magni, TAR, VivaAerobus or Volaris. There are also some flights to Houston, Chicago and Los Angeles, with Volaris or the American company United Express.

The airport is 35 minutes from Tuxtla and 1h15 from San Cristóbal de Las Casas. After collecting your luggage, head for the exit where you'll find cabs and colectivos. The journey to the center of Tuxtla takes about 40 min and costs around $50 by colectivo or $250 by cab. To get to San Cristóbal, a cab costs around $1,000, while a colectivo costs around $240 per person. It's best to withdraw cash before you leave.
