Güvercin Ada, literally "Pigeon Island" is the name given by the Ottomans to the small island located at the end of the harbor that hosts the huge liners. The Pigeon Island is now accessible by a dike until 1am. It takes about ten minutes to walk from the port to the island. The place is home to several gardens and bars that offer good prices. It is ideal to have a panoramic view of the city. The bar at the top right of the small fortress offers unforgettable sunsets.

There is a good general atmosphere and the clientele is rather young. This bar, opened in 2008, is very busy at weekends and at the end of the day, you have to go early to reserve your place. Or go there on weekdays to be more quiet.

The Mavi Bar (literally the "blue bar") is a lovely establishment located in a historic ^19th century building. Decorated pub dedicated to the Red River western in which John Wayne played, with original posters. The interior is quite warm with wooden tables and chairs and some green velvet benches. A terrace in summer, very pleasant despite the proximity of the tramway, to have a drink after a long day of discovery. The beers are mainly Turkish and Belgian. The Sardunya Bar is one of the traditional addresses of the city. The establishment does not always get good press, but it is always full. It can welcome a lot of people, inside (quite noisy) or on its large terrace which occupies the street. You can have a snack, a drink (of course) and attend concerts. There are also soccer matches being played. If you like festive, joyful, collective and... alcoholic atmospheres, this is the place for you!

The Misket is, as its name suggests (Şarap evi), a tavern where you can drink wine. Served in jugs and earthen cups, the (red) wine is handcrafted and a little sweet. It feels a little like home, probably because it's the right place to be. If you are a little curious, you can go inside and up the stairs. Three floors, like three small living rooms. Armchairs and sofas in which it is nice to lie down. As a bonus, you will listen to good music, alternatively. Nothing very strange since the bar belongs to the Baba Zula group

Probably one of the best places to enjoy a good glass of wine, from Turkey or elsewhere, accompanied by plates of cheese, smoked meats and other appetizers. It's around midnight or 1:00 a.m. that it starts to get crowded, maybe a little too crowded, because there's not enough room to dance.

Zazu is ideally located on the main street facing the beach and near the castle. The bar offers a wide choice of alcoholic drinks, the friendly staff will help you make your choice. The restaurant offers very tasty local cuisine. Zazu organizes events/concerts that make the place very attractive and it can be difficult to find a seat during the summer. It is a friendly place and run by the friendly owner Mehmet. Here you will find authentic Turkish hospitality and share a pleasant moment.

In a tastefully restored old Ottoman building, the Karga (Turkish raven) is located on 3 floors. A subdued atmosphere, iron chandeliers and exposed beams, the place does not lack charm. The musical program is exclusively rock and many events are organized throughout the year. In winter you can warm up by the fireplace. This district, more alternative than Taksim, is becoming the hot spot. Fast food available for the hungry. Namely: the bar being in the basement, it may seem a little stuffy.

You enter here into the hipster's lair, the outfit (mustache, giant glasses, tight t-shirt, etc.) is required for regulars. We still regret the lack of space, with the late evening crowd, it becomes almost impossible to reach the bar and we can quickly feel oppressed.
