This association, founded in 2001 by two French, Gilles and Sebastien, collaborates with the Lao National Animal Health Centre (NAHC), the National Museum of natural history in Paris and the Elephant Conservation Center in Lampang, Thailand. The aim is to improve the health status of domestic elephants by providing technical assistance to provincial veterinarians and end (limited means). The French Institute of Laos is the only cultural cooperation establishment dependent on an embassy in Laos. It was transformed into a Cultural and Linguistic Cooperation Centre and then into the French Institute of Laos. On site, free consultation of books, newspapers, magazines and videos. Screening of French and international films in French with English subtitles, or subtitled in French, every Wednesday at 2pm. Also, exhibitions, conferences and shows.
