Geneva-Cointrin airport is 4 km from the city center and 50 km from the Jura mountains. The arrivals hall has car rental agencies, a tourist information point, banks and cabs outside. The bus network links the airport with various districts of Geneva, the canton of Geneva and neighboring France (Chamonix, etc.). The Léman Express connects the airport and Cornavin station, as well as various parts of Geneva and the surrounding region. From Cornavin, the network serves the rest of Switzerland.

It is very easy to reach the city centre in about ten minutes: by train, tram or bus. For taxis, there is a taxi rank outside arrivals halls 1 and 2 (CHF 70).

It is 6 km from Lugano and only 30 km from the Italian border. It operates regional flights and cannot handle long-haul flights. The airport is easily reached by public transport, with the Lugano Ponte-Tresa train departing from Lugano station. Swiss operates the majority of flights to Lugano and from Zurich.

Geneva-Cointrin airport is served by public transport, either by train or bus. The train is the best way to get from the airport to the city center and Geneva-Cornavin station in 7 minutes. Bus lines 5, 10, 23, 28, 50, 56, 57, 59 and 66 can also get you there. The Geneva Pass, zone 10, includes free transport to and from the airport. The A1 and A6 lines enable passengers from Geneva or neighboring France to get to the airport before 6am.
