Railway companies Hungary

Magyar Államvasutak (MÁV), for Hungarian State Railways, is the national railway company of Hungary and the main company operating the network. Its passenger transport subsidiary is called MÁV-START and it is mainly its railcars that are used to travel around Hungary: regional and interregional express trains, international express trains Railjet (RJ) and EuroNight (EC) night trains. Other private companies also operate.
