The Parc des Dosses, in Le Barcarès, is a 200-hectare natural area between the Etang de Salses-Leucate and the Mediterranean. Created to preserve biodiversity, it offers a relaxing setting with salt ponds, marshes, dunes and Mediterranean vegetation. Home to numerous bird species, it is a popular spot for birdwatching. A former fishing ground, it is home to sailboats and reed huts. Its paths, cycle tracks and picnic areas make it a family-friendly site. Views of the Canigou mountain range are a photographer's delight.
