The Médiathèque René-Char is a library located in Issoire, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. It offers a wide range of resources and services for all publics. In addition to its collection of books, the Médiathèque René-Char also organizes events and activities. For example, it takes part in the Grande Collecte Solidaire de Téléphones organized by Ecosystem, where visitors can drop off their old cell phones to give them a second life. And for a little larger children, there are more than 1300 novels, 1500 documentaries and 600 youth comic strips plus 160 child Cds.

The library of Auxonne has a beautiful reading room dating back to 1850. The oldest books date from the end of the fifteenth century. Access to the library is done through the Xavier-Girault crossing, connecting Antoine-Masson Street to the place of Arms.
