Joca Seria, a "serious game", is a publishing house whose editorial line is devoted to art and literature. Created by Brigitte and Bernard Martin who borrowed the appropriate Latin phrase from the poet Francis Ponge, the structure has existed since 1991. Joca Seria publishes between 10 and 20 books per year and has some 300 titles in their catalogue. In 2013, the house published a novel with Tanguy Viel and high school students in Clichy-sous-Bois.

Created in 2004, this young and promising publishing house begins to gather a very pleasant catalogue that fluctuates between a collection of documents and books of history and a collection of general literature. The young authors of the region have their weapons, accompanied by authors of different horizons always inspired by the observation of the little discomfort of everyday life or romantic relations. Still ignored of the distribution circuits, this local publishing house makes it talk to booksellers in the region by its young authors who would only ask to be joined by new feathers in this beautiful catalogue.

Since their creation in 1984, the University Presses de Rennes have been publishing academic research. But they also have good textbooks for students and secondary teachers. With 220 books published per year, the PUR will not only publish books of Breton or the Grand West, since some are even from abroad. Languages, arts, history, letters, society, language and psychology are the main themes of these editions, which also offer a collection of video films.

The primary vocation of the editions De Boreas was to honour the novels of the land, especially the Auvergne (among its three hundred authors, one finds the recurrent signature of Jean Anglade). De offers up to 200 new per year, and broadcasts six other publishers, including Purple Ink and the Blue leaf, to name but them.

It would be easy to see in Editions Create only regionalist or local production with the sometimes pejorative meaning that these qualifiers convey. Regional heritage, but treated by authors with recognized competences in the historical, architectural or artistic field. So is it the Encyclopedias collection which is the forced reference, by the sum of the knowledge presented of all the good libraries of the Central Massif.

Francis Debaisieux, photographer emeritus, became passionate about the Massif Central now more than years ago. In 1982, it created a postcard publishing house which broadcasts the impressive number of photographs devoted to the region, all genres combined: landscapes, but also portraits, heritage. A few years later, the house launches in book publishing and today offers many regional books, including many guides, all illustrated with magnificent photos. Among the best known are the treasures of the Romanesque Auvergne and famous and unknown volcanoes of the Massif Central.

Specialized for twenty-five years in the naturalist video reportage, taken by Christian Bouchardy assisted by Noël Gouilloux (cartoonist and decorator) and Yves Boulade (audiovisual technician). A former journalist, this faire naturalist ensures that the best way to preserve nature is to make it known. His humility and kindness only matched the discretion of his fetish animal, the mascot of the department. Catiche (whose name refers to the otter's home) has published fifty books (so many films), feeds local and national broadcasts, a weekly entry in Femina magazine and intervenes for scientific work. Catiche Productions has also won numerous awards for all its documentaries.

The works published by LES include the research of the Faculty of Letters, languages and humanities of the University of Blaise Pascal. They now offer a fairly rich catalogue, focusing mainly on literary studies, history and civilizations, territories and societies.

The Escarbille is an associative publishing house created in 1998, which exclusively publishes the first publisher account. Twice a year, it ensures the publication and dissemination of contemporary fiction, as well as the promotion of authors and their work. Located right behind Place Royale, this publisher and bookseller specializing in science fiction, fantastic and cinema can take advantage of many quality works on his own.
