Created by Brigitte and Bernard Martin who borrowed the appropriate Latin phrase from the poet Francis Ponge, the structure has existed since 1991. Joca Seria publishes between 10 and 20 books per year and has some 300 titles in their catalogue. In 2013, the house published a novel with Tanguy Viel and high school students in Clichy-sous-Bois.

With 220 books published per year, the PUR will not only publish books of Breton or the Grand West, since some are even from abroad. In 1982, it created a postcard publishing house which broadcasts the impressive number of photographs devoted to the region, all genres combined: landscapes, but also portraits, heritage. A few years later, the house launches in book publishing and today offers many regional books, including many guides, all illustrated with magnificent photos. Among the best known are the treasures of the Romanesque Auvergne and famous and unknown volcanoes of the Massif Central.

His humility and kindness only matched the discretion of his fetish animal, the mascot of the department. Catiche (whose name refers to the otter's home) has published fifty books (so many films), feeds local and national broadcasts, a weekly entry in Femina magazine and intervenes for scientific work. Catiche Productions has also won numerous awards for all its documentaries.
