The CCAS de Nîmes, as any communal centre for social action, aims to support people living with the social, disabled, and family. On the basis of an administrative dossier, financial allocations for solidarity or ad hoc aid may be obtained:

- household aid, investment aid, housing aid

- residential accommodation allowances

- specific old-age allowances, personalised self-help assistance (APA), packed meals,

- State medical aid, aid to families or persons living with a disability

- social assistance for people living with minimum social conditions (participation in canteen costs, free for sports practice, transport, good food, holidays…).

Applications for social assistance are in advance being investigated by a social assistant or RSA focal point.

This aid scheme was created by Law Besson of 1990 and attached to the Department of the Rhône in 2005. It can fall into several aspects: grants or loans to access housing, surety and guarantee or financial assistance to fill debts and various unpaid debts. Owners of occupants, tenants and sub-lessees can benefit under the conditions of resource after completing a complete dossier with the assistance of a social correspondent (e. g. social assistant). This file is available from the Maison du Rhône or the General Council. The department places an important place on housing for all. That is why in 2010 the budget allocated to this aid was around EUR 5.9 million, of which EUR 1.5 million was earmarked for access to housing. 2 000 grants and 2 500 guarantees were granted in the same year.

The center's social, cultural and sports activities and services are based on the needs of the neighborhood. Its vocation is to be a place for meetings, exchanges, leisure activities, entertainment, culture and conviviality. It supports residents' initiatives, projects and actions. It is open to all, including children, teenagers and adults, and seeks to foster intergenerational links.

The Clermont-Ferrand Community Social Action Center is a local public service for everyone. It is a service dedicated to the most vulnerable, as part of a policy of solidarity within the city. Responding to people in material, personal or relational need, the CCAS offers appointments with social workers. The CCAS also has a one-stop shop, Clermont dom', which groups together all the home services offered by the CCAS of Clermont-Ferrand, for working people or retired people

The Maison de l'Adolescent du Havre, opened in May 1999, was a first in France. Located in the city centre, it welcomes and takes care of young people in distress and suffering from 13 to 20 years of age, from the Havre to the region. Social assistant, dietician, educator, gynecologist, nurse, paediatrician, psychiatrists, psychologists and psychotherapist form an effective team. The Bavarian example has been followed elsewhere in France.

" The Centre Communal d'Action Sociale (CCAS) runs a general prevention and social development program in the commune, working closely with public and private institutions ...". A public administrative body attached to the municipality, the CCAS works with people in precarious situations, welcomes children in collective or family structures, and develops and consolidates structures for senior citizens. The City of Nancy, which has been awarded the "Child-Friendly City" label, is committed to welcoming children from different backgrounds.

It is the place of information for persons over 60 years of age in the field of admission to different specialized establishments managed by the Community of the agglomeration of Annecy. Assistance and support service for home maintenance (tel.) 04 50 33 65 30. In partnership with the CPAM, this service organizes and carries out, for people over the age of 60, an annual health check and by appointment for the sake of ageing.

- Permanence régionale téléphonique d'information IVG Languedoc-Roussillon. Counsellors advise on questions of sexuality, contraception, pregnancy, fundamental rights, domestic violence, sexually transmitted diseases, public health (tel. 04 67 99 33 33).

Medical consultations by appointment on Mondays from 2pm to 6pm, Tuesdays from 9am to 12pm, Wednesdays from 2pm to 5pm and Thursdays from 9am to 12pm.
