The Domaine des Dieux de Nistos is a true paradise for cross-country skiers. Eight different itineraries wind their way through the mountain, offering exceptional panoramic views of the Pic du Midi, the peaks of Haute-Garonne and Ariège, and the border peaks of the Luchonnais. With levels of difficulty ranging from green to black, the routes vary from two to ten kilometers. For keen hikers, there are also trails for walking and snowshoeing.

The vast Grand Tourmalet ski area brings together two ski resorts, Barèges and La Mongie, offering a total of over 69 ski runs. Cross-country skiers are not left out, thanks to the Barèges Nordic area. A 14-kilometre route allows cross-country skiers to enjoy the snow-covered landscape. Payolle and the Lienz plateau also offer a variety of circuits, suitable for both snowshoeing and Nordic skiing.

The Nordique Nordic area features five cross-country skiing trails or Nordic skiing. Marked but not groomed, these circuits range from 2,5 kilometres to 8 kilometres, which makes it possible to do several in the same day. The departure takes place at the parking lot of the Dit, where there is also a toboggan track and two snowshoe circuits of 3 km and 6,5 km. These circuits are maintained by volunteers who carry out the tracks marking the tracks from the first snow.

Between Alsace and Vosges, the Northern Domaine du Donon is a paradise for skiers and lovers of snowshoes. A total of 65 kilometres of trails are available free of charge throughout the winter. A 4,2 kilometre snowshoe loop allows to reach the top of the Donon, passing through the neck shelter, between the Two Donons, located at 822 meters above sea level. An easy loop, which offers beautiful views over the mountain and can also be used in cross-country skiing, on a slightly different route 5 km long.

The Northern Domain Oh! Jura consists of three stations: Cheese, Bellefontaine and Longchaumois. Nordic ski enthusiasts will surely enjoy their happiness, thanks to the 190 kilometres of bottom tracks and 22 snowshoe hiking trails. With varying difficulty, the different loops explore the mountain chain and the Swiss border, alternating passages in forests and lakes. The impressive activity panel allows you to compose your program according to the time you have and your level by varying the pleasures.

Two Nordic ski areas (Foncine-le-Haut and Haute-Joux, at altitudes of 930 to 1,275 meters) combine 26 snowshoe trails and 285 km of Nordic runs! A colossal playground that you can explore at your own pace, over several days or just a few hours. These snowshoe loops, from 1 to 10 km in length, let you discover the snow-covered landscapes of the Jura, alternating between forest passages and ridge walks, without ever having to retrace your steps! The Gazon cross Ski Centre offers three Circuits in the form of free access loops: an easy (green) course of 3,5 km, a medium course (blue) of 7 km and a track for good skiers (red) 10 km. The opening of the tracks depends on the snow of the station. You can find information about the current state of snow (with a webcam live of tracks) on the site of the northern domain. A luge area and two snowshoe circuits from 1 h and 2 h 30 are also accessible from the station.

The journey rises along this volcanic fireplace, offering beautiful views over the surrounding landforms. Information panels help to understand the formation of these rocky peaks. The steep climb is rewarded by the view since the summit. Orientation tables will tell you the other summits to see. Once down, you can enjoy a swim in the lake of Bouchet, of volcanic origin as well. If you want to walk by foot, you need an extra 45 minutes.

Le Domaine du Chiaoula offers five snowshoe courses, from level to level confirmed. Standard itineraries are relatively short: 2 km (Chemin du Refuge) 5 km (Col du Riufred). Whether you are looking for strong or traditional sensations in winter sports, the Beille resort has what you need. Nordic skiing enthusiasts can take advantage of the courses that strient the station, from the easy to experienced level. Those who want to try something new will be able to try downhill skiing within the Zone of Northern Evolution. You will then have to detach from the linear line to bypass bumps or try jumps and other slides. During the school holidays, "races for laughs" are organised every Saturday.

Situated at an altitude of 1,300 metres, Etang de Lers welcomes sports enthusiasts and mountain lovers in winter and summer alike. When the snow begins to cover the slopes, a vast Nordic area comes to life. A total of 25 kilometers of Nordic ski trails and 23 kilometers of snowshoe trails are marked out every year. A toboggan run and an orienteering course complete this family-friendly area. Dogs are allowed in the pedestrian area.

The CAF de Béziers-Caroux offers a wide range of sports activities, ranging from climbing to climbing, mountain biking, mountain biking and alpine skiing. The ski area of the plateau de Gentioux is located at an average altitude of 900 m. It includes nearly 90 km of ski slopes. Access to the area is free and the tracks are made as far as possible by the snowmobile of the Pigerolles cross-country skiing association. If you don't have your own equipment, you can also rent skis, boots, snowshoes and sledges from the organization. It is necessary to reserve them.

As far as cross-country skiing is concerned, the Val d'Allos has a very popular Nordic area with 12 km of groomed and marked trails divided into two routes located at the foot of the village and the resort. Skiers must pay the compulsory fees at the Val d'Allos 1 400 - Allos ski lift ticket office, near the cross-country ski "info point". Walking and snowshoeing are forbidden on these trails, but marked routes reserved for walking and snowshoeing are available free of charge.

The ESF at Le Seignus has existed since 1973 and has the "Famille Plus Montagne" label. Its team of 18 permanent instructors increases to 45 during the vacations to satisfy the growing demand and to participate in the development of the resort. The group or individual lessons are well adapted to the level of practice of the students and according to the vacation periods. It is one of the three gates of the Nordic domain of the Haut Vercors. 8 km from the villages of Saint-Martin and Saint-Julien-en-Vercors, the Nordic site of the Herbouilly plateau is linked to the Hauts Plateaux on the Isère side (Corrençon-en-Vercors) and Bois-Barbu (Villard-de-Lans) by 130 km of ski runs. A site that is appreciated all year round; In winter: the Nordic resort of the Col de Carri has a difference in altitude that makes the 60 km of cross-country ski trails sometimes difficult, but always very pleasant. With 40 Nordic dogs, it offers year-round nature activities: dog sledding, cani-rando, sulky, go-karting and visits to the park.
