GÎTE LE VAGABOND - BAR LE BREVENT
Read moreOnce a stop to the efforts coming from the lower valley of the River Arve and en route to Switzerland, the bar Le Brévent today welcomes another type of clientele, still exhausted and thirsting, but rather more exotic: the Anglo-Saxons! As often in Chamonix, the British clientele is a queen in this blend lieu, skilfully taken over by Gary, the boss, who fell in love with Mont Blanc massif like so many other friends of the Manche. And that is all the better: The bar Le Brévent is a special atmosphere, which is only too rarely found in Chamonix. As a district bar used by time and seasons but where the counter always open, the chimney fire always lit and the new regulars still filled somewhere succeeds in keeping the memory of the well-awake place. We feel well, around a pint of beer shared with the customers of Gîte Le Vagabond on the floor, or sitting in front of a tartiflette or a cheese crust. The clientele is cosmopolitan and warm and bright faces. As for prices, they are disconcerting disconcerting: 3 € the happy pint of beer! The bar has just won its new visitors.
LE BAR NAPOLÉON III

You'll appreciate the moment even more in this dream setting, and in season with palatial service, by the hotel pool with a panoramic view of the Grande Plage.
LA MEZCALERIA PARIS
Read moreLa Mezcaleria-Bar Clandestino isn't a bar, quite the contrary. It's simply the bar of the chic 4-star 1K hotel, a temple of Peruvian culture in Paris. And it takes its name from mezcal, an agave-based beverage distilled at around 40°. This spirit is reminiscent of tequila. The cocktails based on Peruvian brandy are all very surprising, like El Pepino: Pisco Tacama Acholado Hendrick's, fresh cucumber juice, yellow chartreuse, house rosemary liqueur, lemon juice, yolk, sugar, egg white and wasabi.

BAR BOTANISTE
Read moreThe bar at the Shangri-La Hotel Paris becomes the Bar Botaniste. A name that smells of nature... The idea was born in the mind of head bartender Arnaud Thirel, who wanted to pay tribute to Prince Roland Bonaparte, less well known to the general public than his illustrious relative, but who in his time created the world's largest private herbarium with 2,500,000 specimens. The à la carte menu features some fifteen astonishing cocktails, including vermouth, génépi, absinthe and the famous chartreuse. There are also some twenty gins and nine tonics.
