Because the taste for reading develops from the youngest age, a specialized bookstore for youngsters is very welcome. It's called Libr'enfant, and it's for toddlers as well as teenagers (and their parents). In the shelves you can find comics, stories, novels, beautiful picture books... Here are plenty of possibilities to start reading or to devour big novels. Original stories, books that don't take children for idiots, but for real readers: that's what the two enthusiasts offer you, who welcome you with a smile and good advice. And as a bonus, workshops or readings from time to time.

AUTREMENT DIT

Childrens bookshop
4/5

The owner of this rare place is a true passionate person, she has taken the challenge of bringing together in the same bookshop titles of children's literature and books in foreign languages: the love of books and reading, quite simply, are the driving forces. For toddlers, it's a real goldmine: colourful illustrated albums, books in relief, and even a panel of educational games and soft toys. There are them for all ages, from toddlers to adults. The bookshop also does not hesitate to offer books on rather harsh subjects: war, violence, adolescence, divorce... A very good option when you do not know how to approach a subject. Do not hesitate to ask for help on site, we will be able to advise you without fail. At the very bottom, you will also find records and books in foreign languages to help you progress in learning English, German... while immersing yourself in a thriller or a romance. The address has also been extended just across the street, in a second location, to offer even more books. The window alone already makes you want to read with its colours, its books highlighted according to current events, its posters of Dijon festivals... The Autrement Dit library is always connected to current events.

LE POISSON LUNE

Childrens bookshop

A 2020 favourite of Le Petit Futé, this bookstore remains one of our favourites once again this year. In this beautiful space designed for children and parents, we appreciate a bookstore with a wide selection of books and toys for all ages, with even a section aimed more at adults (or older children) at the back. Relaxed atmosphere, we love to be put at ease by enjoying a hot (or cool for the little ones) drink and taking a seat in the back room. It is there, in a very childish decor, that the workshops and meetings take place every month: yoga for the little ones, musical awakening, writing classes for adults, prenatal singing... A smart place for young and old.

LA MARE AUX DIABLES

Childrens bookshop

La Mare aux Diables is a full universe. More than 80 mdedicated to literature for the 0-16 years and all those who keep a soul. In 2003, Sylvie Chabeau-Naessens opened his independent bookshop dedicated to early reading in passion. She was joined by her daughter Camille. Both will refer you to the tastes and aspirations of small readers and their parents. Books are sorted by age and/or theme, and some books can help to grow blonde heads or explain societal facts: when words miss adults, beautiful stories take over. When we listen to Sylvie tell these new albums, the role is reversed, parents listen as their children do. This is the most important: customer time. The booksellers' tips will allow you to always enjoy your children and those you want to surprise with the 12,000 references! The bookstore organizes regular meetings with authors or thematic days. La Mare aux Diables has not finished telling beautiful stories.
