Presentation: Welcome to the world of salted butter caramel! Carabreizh opens the doors to a colourful and offbeat universe, filled with irresistible salted butter caramel and fruity candies.
History: The history of Carabreizh is above all a story of passion, sharing and greed. The one that unites Myriam and Christophe Niceron around the desire to accomplish together an authentic, warm and Breton gourmet project. They have succeeded! Today, Carabreizh is a brand fully established on its territory, holding high its origins, its know-how and its values through the talent and expertise of a team of 38 people.
But let's go back to the beginning... It is in 1993 that the Carabreizh adventure begins in South Finistère with two trestles and a board for Christophe and Myriam Niceron. The two of them settled in Brittany, making Breton delicacies to sell on the markets. It is an immediate success.
In 1997, Myriam and Christophe set down their suitcases in Belle-Île-en-Mer for which they have an immediate crush. They set up in a refurbished garage and created the Kerfood company with a Breton cake filled with salted butterscotch caramel as its star attraction.
In 2005, after two years of research to perfect the recipe and control its constant quality, it was the turn of the Carabreizh salted butter caramel cream to be created in the Belle-Île factory.
Two years later in 2007, the company joined "Produit en Bretagne", the regional network with shared values. This large family allows the brand to grow and open up to the continent. It was then in Landévant that the company set up its administrative offices and became actively involved in the association to contribute to the economic development of its region.
The years 2010-2014 will see the company's expansion gradually develop. The team is growing and the range of salted butterscotch products is expanding with the different caramels and then the coulis.
In 2014; Kerfood is awarded the "Coups de Coeur Ouest France" and "Produced in Brittany" awards, and hailed for its development of innovative activities and the affirmation of its territorial anchorage. Soon, a new project is taking shape: that of a factory on the continent...
In 2016, it's a reality. The construction and commissioning of a new factory and new administrative offices in Landévant (56) are launched, representing 2,800 m² of production, development and promotion space.
