The port of Nice is called Port Lympia, after the spring that fed this ancient marshy lake. Opened to navigation in the 18th century, facing the square of the "Ile de Beauté", it is the first cement port in France in connection with the pebble processing factories of the Paillon valley and the second cruise port in France. It is divided into 2 parts: a commercial port at the entrance and a marina at the back where you can stroll in front of magnificent yachts. During the summer, you can discover the Côte d'Azur coastline by taking a boat trip.

A simple defensive moat in the 14th century, the harbour only became a dock in the 16th century. In the 18th century, a development plan decided to build a canal between the Ourcq river and the Seine. Around 1825, the Canal Saint-Martin was built to link the Bassin de la Villette with the Seine at the Arsenal, reducing the distance between the Quai Henri-IV and Ile Saint-Denis and bringing drinking water to the city. Later, barge traffic turned it into a commercial port, which was transformed into a marina in 1983, and whose gardens are well worth a visit!

It is a small fishing village, a quiet port nestled in a cove of the Ria. The port of Vieux-Passage lives to the rhythm of the fishermen waiting for the right moment to take to the sea and deposit their traps. Its location has made it a strategic position since the 1st century BC. Before the construction of the Lorois Bridge, a ferry linked the Vieux-Passage to the opposite bank, the port of Étel. After the destruction of this bridge by the war and then its reconstruction, the ferryman resumed service. Still in use today, it is a charming moment.

It is a small jewel of the Cotentin Peninsula, which has earned Barfleur regular recognition as one of the most beautiful villages in France. It is also, and especially for some, a very practical anchorage port, in an area that is certainly less turbulent than the Raz-Blanchard, on the other side of the peninsula, but not always easy to understand. Here, we welcome, only at anchor, boats of 15 meters maximum, up to 125 places. A slipway and toilets are available for boaters, and the whole is splendid.

The port of Croisic has the particularity of being composed of a succession of small basins or "chambers" perfectly protected from clapot by islets, the "jonchères", raised over the centuries by the accumulation of stones serving ballast to the vessels coming to load the salt extracted in the salt marshes of Guérande. They stretch on the south shore of the former sea arm separating the mainland from the mainland of Batz-sur-Mer, and the sandy beach of La Baule-Escoublac filled East. The port's capacity is 347 seats in the chamber of vases, 281 of which are on pontoons and 27 on pontoons in front of the harbour and 39 on quay. 47 places on moorings. In the heart of the city, the port bears the name of the famous Norman shipowner who distinguished himself in the 16th century by initiating great expeditions to the Americas and Africa, thus enabling him to make his fortune with the import of spices, ivory, and redwood. The port of Dieppe was expanded during this period, and its maritime vocation was never denied. Bombarded by an Anglo-Dutch fleet in 1694, it was destroyed. By order of Louis XIV, Antoine de Ventabren undertook its reconstruction. Vauban and Trudaine enlarged it. Today the port offers 530 berths.
